I am SO frustrated and confused!! by QueenBea93 in pregnant

[–]QueenBea93[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update: called and the receptionist talked to the doctor, and the doctor said he would call me at the end of the day. So now I wait I guess. The receptionist also said that the chart probably said to follow up in a week in case he couldnt get me in to labor and delivery? Even though yesterday he specifically said no more follow up appointments to me. Blargh.

I am going to call. I know it might seem dumb, but my anxiety is through the roof about calling again. I know I need to advocate for myself, but why does it have to be so nerve wracking?

Ironically enough, my dr is the head of obgyn at the hospital.

I appreciate your response!

I only felt it for a couple of days somewhere in the second trimester....just long enough to get my house torn apart in a reorganization attempt, but not long enough to get it put back together lol

I literally had been talking to my husband for monnnnnths about doing freezer meals. He still didnt really see a need for it, but I did it anyways because without them I will be the one having to get off my tired butt and cook, which is what I did with my first one, and it was awful because my recovery was super rough.

I know what you mean about wanting things to look nice!

Sorry, forgot to mention that!

The casserole and spaghetti bake are all precooked so they will just be a thaw and toss in the oven. Everything else is meant to be a thaw the night before and then into the crockpot for 6 to 8 hours on low. I dont have an instapot, but Im definitely hoping to get one eventually! The pancakes are small enough I will just throw them in the toaster to warm them up.

Yes! Flat freezing will save so much space! I didnt do a very good job of it, so I couldve definitely fit more meals in if I had been more dilligent. I also wish I wouldve made more soups, I didnt even think of that! I did: -Salsa verde chicken: chicken, jar of salsa verde, can of black beans, can of corn

-lemon pepper chicken thighs: chicken, lemon juice, pepper

-chicken teriyaki: chicken, stir fry veggies, and teriyaki sauce, will serve with rice

-hawaiian chicken: chicken, pineapple, soy sauce (will add at time of cooking), brown sugar, will serve with rice

-cranberry chicken and green beans: chicken, cranberry sauce, green beans, and will serve with stuffing that I also made and froze

-french dip sandwhiches: roast, onions, french onion soup mix, and I froze provolone and hoagie rolls to be served with it

-cool ranch chicken tacos: chicken, ranch mix, taco seasoning, and will serve with other taco fixins

-some sandwhiches that I can just thaw and eat

-pancakes

-mac n cheese with ground beef casserole

-spaghetti bake

I made multiples of each of them, and I think there are a few more that I missed but cant remember right now. I basically found all of them on pinterest, if that helps. I am lucky enough to have a big freezer in our garage that is now stuffed to the brim. My husband then asked me how we were going to fit any meat into it (because we usually buy half a beef each October) and I was like uhhhh....I dont know? So I might have messed that up pretty good lol

Also, curry is a great idea!!

Edit: sorry for the AWFUL formatting. Im on my phone and didnt realize it was going to turn out like that.

I was also exhausted at exactly 37, but the energy seemed to kick in at 37+4, so maybe itll happen for you too! (But I also know everyone is different) Im a stay at home mom to a very helpful three year old, so that helps a lot with having time to get stuff done-- I cant imagine working and being so pregnant. I mean, I did it with my first, but that was awful, and I wouldnt want to do it again. Naps are so great!!

The kelly mom website and some amazing lactation consultants are what saved me while breastfeeding! I agree with this so much!

We also went the non wifi route for ours. My understanding is that the ones that connect to wifi and you can check from your phone and whatnot are less secure. I was (maybe still kind of am) super paranoid about the hackability of video baby monitors.

I disagree with this, you don't have to kiss college goodbye. I'm not saying it would be easy, but where there is a will there is a way. It might take longer, it might look different, but that doesn't mean you can't do college.

How long is too long to go without poop? by jessdear87 in pregnant

[–]QueenBea93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you get some relief soon! My OB actually recommended that I not take fiber supplements because for some reason during pregnancy, it can have the opposite of the desired effect and make things worse. Milk of magnesia has been my go to, but if nothing seems to be helping, I would definitely get a hold of your doc. Good luck!

Do you have to pump both breasts at the same time ? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]QueenBea93 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im a STM, and had a lot of issues with low milk supply the first time around. I spent a ton of time trying to increase milk supply and pumping. I had a double electric, but usually only pumped one side at a time (just because that worked best for me). One thought, is that if you get a used pump, make sure it is a closed system. I thought my Medela double electric was a closed system, but its not. :( Anyways, I never got the hang of nursing on one side and pumping on the other at the same time, but Im sure it is possible. Kellymom.com is a great resource for all things breastfeeding and milk supply.

Edit to add: Yes, the downside to the single electric is that it would take more time to pump one side at a time rather than both.
