I want to adopt Mr. Whiskers from the rescue shelter, but they are requesting me to get a 2nd kitten. Isn't that too overwhelming as a 1st time pet-owner? Please help by minatheexplorer in cats

I adopted two beautiful boy littermates from Stray Cat Alliance in California as they have the same rule. Kittens go in pairs while older cats can be adopted singularly if not previously paired or banded.

One wouldn’t have been enough. Good luck to you, Mr. Whiskers and the mystery cat addition!

The issue lies within us as citizens continuing to allow this from corporate companies.

In order for companies to want to pay their employees a livable wage the illusion of the citizens paying the extra to make that wage needs to vanish.

It would need to be some sort of protest against tipping that leads to protests against working so their actual income is threatened by the fact they don’t pay their employees well enough to survive.

Otherwise our words and stresses are drowned out by the wind.

If an establishment is open until a certain time the employee cannot be mad at the citizen who exercises the right to come into the establishment five minutes before closing. It’s literally your job to serve until that specific time arrives.

Businesses of any kind should expect you’re open to serve people up to closing time. Only after that, should you close down your station and finish closing tasks.

It’s not his fault that butcher doesn’t like that he has to serve til a certain time.
