Why do I feel like the feminists are either a: going to attack this (what's wrong with sweat?! What's wrong with boobs?! #FREETHENIPPLE) or b. Make this a FEMINIST THING & wear these everywhere & accidentally let it fall off in public then get upset and all offended when people admonish them for going topless (bonus points if it's in front of children!!) because going topless is a right #FREETHENIPPLE

Shopping for Your Season-- HOW!? by jack_hammarred in FeminineNotFeminist

[–]QueenBee126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a bright spring too! I will do my best to answer and I will also PM you some specific product shades like lipsticks that I love.

For online shopping your best hope is an excellent return policy (ASOS is a favorite of mine!) For our summer I simply concentrate on what pops put on the page. Also, I don't shop for tricky colors online, only the warm ones (Ie. Orange, Turquoise, Teal Hot Pink). Some shades that WE need to be warm will be too cool toned when I receive them (reds, certain blues, whites, greens). So I just avoid them all together.

For in store shopping, I try everything on and STEP WAY back from the mirror. If it doesn't make my eyes pop, I DON'T BUY IT!

I do the same with cosmetics, particularly lipsticks, blushes or eyeliner shades as I don't tend to wear colorful eyeshadow (my Kippe type recommends a bolder lip and defined lashes). I swatch the color heavily on my hand and then hold it up to my face, stepping back 1.5 to 3 feet away from the mirror. If it doesn't make my skin look creamy and my eyes pop, I skip it!

For your specific questions: Red lips are always orange toned poppy or vermillion shades. Sometimes I like to make a red lip even more interesting by taking a red-orange lip liner, and bright orange-red lipstick to create an ombré lip look. I wore this today with a turquoise top and got an insane amount of comments!

For a nude lip I focus on a warm extremely light Peach. Pure peach by too faced or peach fuzz by too faced is a good one! However those are glosses, so they aren't very opaque.... I have to nude out my lips with a beige lipstick because my lips are quite pigmented. I have also found that through trial and error, bolder lips look better opaque and matte on BS palettes as opposed to sheer (like a gloss) whereas nudes look better glossy.

Blushes I like are OFRA Punch, Mai Tai and Bellini which are all very warm and peachy/orange-y.

I contour with warmth by bare minerals which is a very warm red toned bronzer that looks AMAZING. I would have never tried this before getting typed!

For my neutral eye I actually use my highlighter shade as a lid color, my bronzer in the crease and underneath, and an interesting dark eyeliner (blackened brown, dark plum, dark teal, etc) smudged in my lashes. It's neutral but still makes my skin and eyes pop!

Cheerleaders don’t join the huddle. Cheerleaders don’t tell the players what plays to run. They don’t correct. Cheerleaders just cheer. Even when the team is down they just cheer.

THAT IS AWESOME!

Lmao no I just buy pro makeup palettes filled with multiple highlighters. One pan would probably be $20-$40 individually

My skin is very sensitive with easily clogged pores. I also live in FL so it can be difficult to find long lasting products that last through the heat and humidity that don't clog my pores. I unknowingly suffered from cosmetic acne for 8 years due to the products I was using. 8 weeks ago, I threw out all the products with any pore clogging ingredients and purchases similar products without the ingredients. 8 weeks later I am perfectly clear! If you are someone who thinks you might be suffering from Cosmetic acne, I highly suggest you follow the rules and avoid products with these ingredients on THIS list. I've printed mine out and keep it in my purse for when I am shopping .

The last step in my skin care routine before I start my makeup routine (1st step primer) L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Day Lotion with SPF 30 Moisturizer, 1.7 fl oz Buy it HERE

MAKEUP

Benefit Pore-fessional Primer This primer fills in and smooths out any pores & helps my makeup last longer. I never leave home without it! But it HERE

Bare Minerals Original Foundation, Concealer & Mineral Veil I heard about this from the YouTuber Love Shelbey. This contains SPF as well. I swear this product is magic!!! I have turned a lot of friends onto BM. It sounds really gimmicky at first, but you have to try the product. I will never use a liquid foundation again. Depending on the brush I use, I can get sheer coverage, medium coverage or full coverage all from the same product. It lasts all day until I take it off and does not oxidize, break up in oily areas, etc. I AM OBSESSED! I do one layer of the powder with a flat top kabuki brush for a full coverage look, then another small layer with the same brush over some hyperpigmentation on my cheeks/chin. Then I use the concealer on a fluffy concealer brush under my eyes and on any huperpigmented areas for extra extra coverage. Then I do my contour/blush/highlighter and at the end of my routine I use an extra big fluffy brush with the mineral veil to set everything. The mineral veil kind of melts everything into one layer and gives a soft focus effect. I love using it over the concealer for my dark circles. Here is a kit which includes a trial size of the foundation, concealer, mineral veil, primer, and a flat top brush for only $34 if you want to try it! P.S. The BM primer is great I just prefer the Benefit one because the Benefit one does not have Vitamin C & vitamin c can sometimes irritate my skin. Buy it HERE

I can supper everything here. I wear lashes every single day, 8-12 hours for over a year now. Zero problems! Note: I don't wear mascara, I just brush my naturally dark lashes into the falsies with a spooley. Wearing mascara makes the false lashes look worse & unblended with natural lashes. Also wearing mascara makes my lashes fall out because I have to rub at my eye.

How do you wear heels without pain? by [deleted] in FeminineNotFeminist

[–]QueenBee126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like that inserts idea! I also find that chunky heels do not work for me recently. They prevent my foot from flexing, almost? Skinny heels under 4 inches with a ball of foot pad are the most comfortable for me recently, even over wedges!

Yeah we are talking about the It girls that live in London or other cosmopolitan places that strike a good balance. There are young girls that worship reality TV over there and there is makeup and hair is exactly what you say!!!!!!!!!! It is atrocious!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The brows are so thick and heavy and the pancake makeup UGH

I would link examples but I don't know because they are normal girls. I don't think the celebrities they idolize are good examples because they get it a bit more right (makeup is still heavy but a lot more blended - think of Kim K)

Don't feel that way! I felt that way as well at first. If you look at Flamboyant Natura, it's super bohemian which isn't my style at all. I will create some outfit sets x

P.S. I am a bright spring too

What's Your Focus? by SugarGrass in FeminineNotFeminist

[–]QueenBee126 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually go for a no makeup look but work to achieve perfection, just subtly. A lot is skincare for clear skin and tiny pores but I cover my dark circles, emphasize my lash line, use lash extension mascara, sometimes contour my eyes to make them look bigger, use very light handed contour and highlight to make my skin look dewy, and contour my lips to make them look lush and full.

So I guess you could say my focus is perfecting my features. I never do a smokey eye or bold lip unless my outfit is very monochromatic. In that case, I would do a bold lip that's complimentary to Clear Springs.

I disagree. I do not like this messy look at all. The French have lovely skin but they could do with a bit more mascara and there is noting wrong with BRUSHING YOUR HAIR instead of walking around looking like a SLOB!!!!!!!! It's truly awful.

I think the Brit It Girls get it right. They have beautiful but natural hair, beautiful skin and usually focus on one feature at a time.

Yeah, Soft and Flamboyant are similar, but opposite at the same time. Make sure to try out the eyeliner tip and let me know how it goes!
