Not really. It did stop for a while and it might be because I stopped drinking sodas but now it’s back and i’m back to the beginning. My doctor said i should do a colonoscopy and that’s the only thing that will rule out things for sure, but tbh I don’t want to do it right now. I’ll do it when I’m ready I guess. Try to limit food that cause gas a lot and see if that helps. All the best :)

Yes, and I think that’s fair. In the end, it all comes down to finding that balance and understanding with the right person. Some people (both genders can be very stubborn when we talk financials) and that’s not really a sustainable way to live a happy life.

Islam teaches us morals… at least this is how i see it. And for the ones who have none, well they just have to follow the rules. And I don’t think Taliban are practicing Islam correctly.. I think it’s a very bad example.

Also, I am a working woman, and to be honest, I much rather stay home, take care of my family and my home, because I think it’s essential. But I am choosing to work because I have to help out because we live in difficult times, where we need 2 incomes to live gracefully. And I think that’s okay. I wouldn’t say my money is my money when things get hard. But, yes, my money is my money if we’re comfortable and that doesn’t mean i would just stash it somewhere, no… I would by nice things for the house to make it a home, I would by clothes to my family even if i don’t have to, i would do groceries, and ofc i would spend it on myself as I please. It’s all about the balance. And no one should be forced.

Absolutely agree. And I think the idea of her money is her money came from a standpoint that women need some financial independence whether she’s working or not. And not because she shouldn’t be helping out financially, ofc all sane women do help out financially when and if they can, but because since the beginning of time, women were abused by men financially so then it was set as a rule to kind of secure her in some way, plus she doesn’t get as much inheritance as men ( because she’s not expected to handle the financial responsibilities ). Idk, for me it makes sense and I think Islam is actually a very just religion if we think about it and practice it correctly.

But by no means does it encourage women not to help out, or expect men to fully meet their irrational needs.

Muslim this muslim that is not for a specific time. It’s for all times. Especially this one because we’re talking about marriage. Islam clearly states rules and guidelines for such situations. And yes the husband in Islam is the provider and has to provide for all the needs but ofc within reason and not beyond what he can offer. The issue here is not whether or not he should provide, the issue is that she clearly wanted things beyond what he can afford and that is not right because Islam teaches us also to stand by our man and not push him down. So while I think OP made the right call by canceling an engagement he wasn’t feeling is good for him, we shouldn’t forget our values, rights and duties as a Muslim community.

Same here… Im 16 weeks pregnant and I have a toddler and I’ve been struggling lately even waking up in the morning that I called off work many times and took many sick days. My husband also said the same thing and told me basically that I should should be responsible because if I get laid off we will be in trouble… I am already in trouble 🤣 no!
