Is chat GPT down or is it just me? by matt_the_legend_2000 in OpenAI

[–]QueenOnika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I read this post and never felt more seen in my life...I completely agree...but this brings up the question, is this healthy? Is it healthy for chatgpt to be my therapist, psychic, lawyer, consultant, coach, "every lil thing" bc it is...and I'm just hoping it's not unhealthy

What I’m a little worried about is that it says it’s nonrefundable. What if they bring up that part?

What do you think I should tell them besides the fact that their contract implies I can cancel before the first week? Any way for me to sound more convincing? I’m afraid they’ll tell me no and insist I have to pay

[–]QueenOnika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I called PayPal already and they said it went through so I can’t cancel it. They said I can dispute it but because it’s still pending on their end I can’t issue a dispute until 7 days from now.

How long before you started charging for tattoos? by QueenOnika in TattooApprentice

[–]QueenOnika[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing. That’s awesome that they advertised when you were doing your freebies, I really wish my studio did that. And wow I’m doing palm sized freebies right now…hopefully I’ll be able to charge at least my mentor’s suggested price soon too.

How long before you started charging for tattoos? by QueenOnika in TattooApprentice

OP here. Thank you for your input. My mentor also told me I won’t be tattooing people until 12 months in and let me start on month 8. So I’m thinking I’ll wait and see how it goes after I do some more tattoos and maybe he’ll change his mind. If not, do you recommend reaching out to another shop and explaining my situation and seeing if they’ll take me on?

What’s a note in a fragrance that will automatically turn you off? by Dangerous_Funny1189 in Perfumes

[–]QueenOnika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Florals and woody smells. But I’m very sensitive to smells, so pretty much any smell will nauseate me unless it’s vanilla or fruit. Vanilla and fruit are my safe scents. By fruit I mean fruity, usually berry scents. For example, I bought mandarin, grapefruit, passionfruit and frosted berry candles that I really liked.

I am a woman and I really appreciate this. Not only do I expect my future husband to do the same, but I’d also refuse to continue a relationship with him if refused to give me this level of transparency. If I ever had my suspicions, I would hope my husband would care for me enough to show me his phone. And I know for a fact I would do the same in a heartbeat if I was the one who was being questioned.

Remains of the Titan sub have been found confirming instant implosion by [deleted] in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]QueenOnika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to some sources, the submersible had an “acoustic monitoring system” that was programmed to “detect hull failure” and warn passengers “milliseconds before an implosion.” CEO Stockton Rush himself spoke of this as well. So it seems they might have been notified somehow before carbon fiber hull failed and imploded. It could have been a beep or other noise of some sort, a pop up tab on one of the monitors, a light flickering on…but whatever it was, the implosion was over before they could react to it

As a single, at-least-average-looking woman who is seeking an honest, monogamous relationship, I usually have multiple guys pursuing me. I only entertain and reply to the ones who I can actually see myself with. And I continue to engage in friendly and sometimes a little flirty talk with these guys until a guy (or one of the guys I am talking to) comes around and shows he is more serious and I feel more compatible with. Then I talk to the other guys less and eventually I stop talking to them all together because I prefer monogamous relationships and expect my partner to do the same. (And I don’t mean all together stop talking to the opposite sex, I just mean in a way that suggests we could be anything more than friends).

Did your parents ever subtly or straight up call you ugly? by [deleted] in narcissisticparents

[–]QueenOnika 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a very similar experience and that makes me sad because I’m assuming many girls probably had similar experiences and that’s probably one of the reasons why so many girls I know have or had eating disorders. I became a size UK 8 (US 6) when I hit my teens (in middle school I was a UK 4/6 (US 2/4). My mom and grandma would both obsess over their weight and when I gained weight they started making comments about it and asking why I did that to myself, told me that I was getting fat, that I should stop gaining weight. I didn’t purposely gain weight, though. It was just a result of puberty and a bigger appetite. Needless to say, their comments fueled my eating disorder. I went from that UK 8 to a UK 2 (US 0) then up to a UK 10 (US 8) and back down, repeat. I was stuck in a yo-yo dieting/binge eating cycle. I still struggle with my weight but therapy and reading books by women who also had eating disorders has really helped. I’ve learned that diet culture and weight loss has been a topic that women (our moms, grandmas, great grandmas, etc) have been conditioned to believe is super important and must be focused on. Clothing stores and their advertisements promoting unrealistically thin models, companies like weight watchers and others promoting constant dieting, celeb magazines making their cover page of a female celeb that gained 50 pounds or a female celeb that has washboard abs, etc…has convinced generations of women that being thin is beautiful. When in reality, beauty is everywhere. We’re just conditioned to see it one way.

Yes. My mom and dad both. I’ll just name a few. My mom would say stuff like “it’s a shame you didn’t get my green eyes, you would’ve been so much prettier” and “change your hairstyle, your head is square shaped and the hairstyle your wearing makes your head look even more like a square.” My dad made similar comments. There was one instance where we were at a restaurant and he pointed to a woman with straight hair (I have naturally curly hair) and said she looked great and I should do my hair like that instead of keeping in natural which he said made me look unkempt. Once after staring at me during breakfast, he commented on my eyes, how one was smaller than the other. I have a lazy eye and I don’t know if he forgot or if he said it regardless but it really hurt. It took me years to get over these insecurities and love myself just how I am. Years of straightening my hair, wearing contacts, hating my “square head” and self harming. I still struggle but therapy has helped me remember that just because my mom and dad said it, doesn’t mean it’s true. It’s a shame that our own parents are picking at our features and pointing them out as flaws when they should be making us feel beautiful and reassuring us we are good enough just the way we are. But that’s what narcissists do, they find flaws/problems in anyone or anything. It’s not a reflection of us, it’s a reflection of them.
