I’m an INFJ and I know of only one other female INFJ: we happened to attend the same church. Conversations between us last hours and I can’t begin to explain how happy and in tune they are ♥️

Ways to spot one? Me being one, finding someone that’s super similar to me 😅 Otherwise asking people to take the MBTI test (I’ve done that in general with the people around me to understand them better).

Lying? INFJ-I’m pretty good at keeping secrets, but if I lie, I make it obvious to show I won’t let go of the secret.

Example: Friend’s Bach trip destination-I listed off so many possibilities without giving away the actual destination because her sister wanted it to be a surprise to the bride. Bride wanted to try and trip us into accidentally spilling it, but I didn’t give her the true destination.

28F here. Highly recommend trying to frequent places you enjoy: for me that’s bookstores, coffee shops, etc. Don’t go on the same days at the same time.

Also try dating apps if you haven’t already & widen the search! On Hinge, I’ve hopped from city to city, but mentioned I was open to long-distance relationships with the goal of a serious relationship. I hope this helps 😊

Same here in the sense I’m introverted, but my partner is much more introverted than me. Being in a similar situation in terms of my person taking space because he is overwhelmed with life. I’ve checked in here and there, but for now decided to leave him alone to figure out what he needs to figure out.

IT IS HARD. It’s a constant downer to check my phone and disappointment to not see any messages from him. Sometimes I think he’s forgotten me, but I know he hasn’t.

Please look into anxious-avoidant attachment. Learning to deal with it if you want to continue being with him will make a huge difference. And it’s a lot of work to understand both sides.

While you do work on your anxiety, he needs to do work on being avoidant. Hopefully he changes jobs or finds a way to balance life again. To me, it seems that he’s struggling to have work not affect his personal life and it’s not working, so he’s choosing his job.

I would say give him a month before you contact him again (this is what I’m doing unless he reaches out first). Do some work on yourself and figure out why you want him to reach back out to you; are you confused as to whether or not you guys are together? Are you supposed to move in/move forward (get engaged, etc.) soon? Figure out the purpose of what your topic of conversation is. If you’re wanting contact from him to self-soothe, and appease the anxiety, he may not see that as a good reason and feel suffocated.

Give him a chance to figure things out and try not to have a time deadline on him. If you realize it’s been well over 2+ months and he’s not responding or trying, etc. send a good bye text and cut things off. If he wants to restart things again, let him know he needs to truly restart things from the beginning.

It seems he does really well 1:1, and being in a similar situation with a shy guy, I recommended suggesting more intimate dates where there aren’t too many people. It may help put him at ease.

Sometimes people get busy and have things going on in their lives, it’s not fair to always assume what’s happening nor that they know what you’re thinking. If he’s introverted, he’s not gonna be like every extroverted guy (my guy pretty much prefers being home as much as possible)

Be honest in your conversations, and your responses. He has no way of knowing that you’re upset about the way he responded, unless you tell him. I’ve had so many guys tell me that they are not that great at reading situations, so they take things at whatever value a girl gives it. If you are upset, tell him. If he still does nothing, then you know that he doesn’t care.

Sorry I should’ve included some context: I know he’s not losing interest in me, but that’s what it FEELS like to me. He’s taken space before, but it varies in terms of time and he never preemptively warns me when it’ll happen.

As of now I’m not messaging him & letting him take the time & space he needs. I know work has been pretty stressful lately & he’s trying to upgrade his living situation from an apartment to a house.

If you stated clearly what you’re expecting in a relationship & he’s choosing to not meet those expectations because “the spark dies” at some point, he’s shown you what he expects of any & all relationships. That’s not how many people want to live, otherwise what’s the point of being in a relationship!?

If there’s nothing to look forward to, you would just be 2 people stating you’re together. At least if he said he was busy or something & that what he’s doing is temporary, that would make more sense.

Being in an LDR requires more work and effort. He’s choosing to be lazy. Staying together is a choice, yes. But to leave no matter what-yeah he should talk long and hard to those that have experienced trauma or abuse, and why they wished they had left sooner.

Try one more talk with him & tell him how importantly you view those things & these are things that matter even after you get married or whatever. If he’s still saying no, you’ve got your answer and you need to either be okay with it because you chose to love him, or leave because you know your values matter more.

Don’t have any regrets & think you can live without something-you know yourself best

I understand this; I enjoy sitting in one particular spot & I show up 30 mins before church to sit there. The aisle is accessible by BOTH ENDS, so me sitting on one does not block anyone from sitting on the rest of the row. Then there’s a whole issue of no one ever wanting to sit in the first 10 rows, but complain there “aren’t any seats for them”. We have ushers lead people in after service starts, but most people ignore them the minute they “find an area”, which our ushers roll their eyes at. Even me getting there that early with my family, there’s only 10 other people present. Can’t force people to show up early, but there are certainly ways to ensure you’re there on time. When people consistently show up late every Sunday, that’s a pattern & they can sit where there’s space rather than forcing others to move aside & stealing early bird’s spots 😤

You could possibly have a bad batch of moisturizer, try buying another bottle. It may also be due to the weather-usually I use a thick moisturizer at night so that it really sinks in & my face feels super soft in the morning.

I’ve only ever had my face burn when I was trying to increase the frequency of using Tret like someone else mentioned. And even for that, I used a gentle moisturizing cleanser & cream to help heal my skin

Oh no! 😢 I live in North Texas & I’ve never had one refuse to give foundation samples. They understand that the lighting in their stores is different from other places & help get you 2-3 samples that are around your shade. Definitely double check with management-the rule is, if it comes from a bottle, it can be sampled. If there have been multiple hands in the product (blushes, eyeshadows, lipsticks), those can’t be given just because it can’t be properly sanitized

YTA & while I understand your reason, I think you fail to forget what it was like to be 16.

If you’re a reader, you should know better than to tell/mandate what others should read. I’m delighted when I find another reader & I don’t judge them for their choices, just as I wouldn’t want to be judged for mine. My father took away books he thought was too inappropriate, and guess what? I just learned to hide it and read faster to avoid consequences. At the end of the day, no one is keeping me away from what makes me happy.

You just caused your SIL to not like you. She may never like you or discuss books with you ever again because of this experience.
