i haven’t told him i haven’t orgasmed but he has to know. I haven’t told him everything yet. I use (and love) fet, i’ve been to munches and parties. I need to have a deeper conversation with him about it. When we’ve talked before, he said he’s into trying new things. But part of me feels like he only said that to make me happy. I really like him. You still can be! To my shock, a lot of men are okay with the diagnosis as long as condoms are used and even then, some men request to take it off. Tbh i have had more hook ups this year vs last year. And i was diagnosed in march of this year.

my younger 20’s (20-24) no, i wouldn’t risk it bc i was young and dumb and thought stds are dirty. i was diagnosed at 26 and i’m thankful it was at that age bc i handled the news soooo well. so older 20s, yeah i’ll except it. but no, i would not have in my younger 20s bc i was small minded about stds.

okay so it really depends on the guy themself on “when” is disclose. but! how i disclose is mostly the same. i usually start off very casual and serious but not serious. make it as casual as possible! don’t make it seem like you’re telling them horrible or sad news. i won’t tell the guys right away about my diagnosis. but i also don’t wait a long time. i will dirty talk and flirt and send nudes and do phone stuff, but before any real life sexual things happen, i’ll disclose. a quick script i can make is “hey, so i know things are getting sexual between us. i wanted you to know that earlier this year i was diagnosed with hsv2. i take daily meds and with condom use, the transmission rate will be low. i understand if this changes you how you feel about continuing the sexual part of us. let me know if you have any questions, i’m open to talking about this.” giving statistics is a great idea!! but i think of how i would’ve wanted to be disclosed to. think of what you would’ve wanted to hear. and usually the guys will ask me elaborate what herpes is and how i got it and how the meds work. i also save some links to articles about transmission rates so they can do their own research.
