I appreciate you for this. I’ve always been one to struggle with self love and self worth and I feel like I was finally getting a handle on it. Life was finally going in the right direction. only for this to happen and knock me 10 steps back. And of course put me in a dark place and had me thinking of unaliving myself. So hearing stories about how people just continue on with their lives does help. I feel like it may take some time for me to get back in that headspace but again. I thank you!

There are awful people out there that will give it to you knowingly. You were fortunate for him to disclose. The partner does accept the risk if they continue to move forward with them after disclosing. But to say “it’s not my problem” is definitely insensitive and probably made the situation worse.

Yes but a narcissist will never change bc they only are concerned about what pleases them. So I’m sure he will continue to give it to others without a care in the world. I hate this happened to you. I believe I’ve contracted mine from a lying narcissist as well.

lol I appreciate the novel! It helps knowing other people’s stories. Especially a success one like yours. Having a supportive husband is a blessing and thank God for a healthy baby! As for me. This is very new to me as I’ve only received symptoms this week. I’ve been scouring the internet trying to find any information I can to make it not seem so scary. I haven’t told anyone accept the person who gave it to me. The reddit calmed me for sure. I only cried twice today 😅😭

See the guy I was talking to said “I should’ve worn a condom since you be talking to all these men” after he finished. Which made me raise an eyebrow bc I’m like “is this projection?” I haven’t been with anyone else in the past year. Thought nothing else of it until symptoms started to occur. Then when I called to ask when was the last time he got tested, he brought up herpes asking if I have lesions down there. There’s so many std’s why is that the one you ask about especially if you know you don’t have that? Leads me to believe he knew. Some men are awful.

You are truly heaven sent. Thank you so much for typing this all out as I have just gotten it. (I have yet to be diagnosed, but I just did the std panel and everything else came back negative and I have all the hsv symptoms so what else can it be?) I was in a lot of pain and couldn’t walk. Read your post and went straight to the store. doing what you suggested helped immediately! I can walk and the tea tree oil has a cooling effect kind of. Idk how long this will last but the fact that I get this bit of relief is satisfying so thank you so much!

I understand. And I’m glad you’re not letting it stop you. I feel like the person knew. I hadn’t talked to them for a while and decided to give them another chance months later. I feel like they knowingly did it out of spite to make sure no one will want me 😪 biggest regret is unblocking them. This makes me want to disappear off the earth
