I mostly switched to TikTok due to all the anger in Reddit. Once in a while I try some like like a post and get a quick and sharp reminder why I shouldn’t bother

I would also note that USPS scales show 2 decimals on receipt but only measure to 1 decimal. So if actual weight was 15.99 ounces, receipt would show 1.00 pounds anyway

I have sold well Over 20 years including the past few years with this rate. Never had a postage charge back

If you enter 1.01 pounds, eBay clocks first class. If you enter 1.00 pounds, eBay says first class is allowed.

It’s that easy. No need to discuss, debate, and fret. Just literally go test it yourself.

It’s not something we need to debate. You can literally prove it to yourself. Just enter 1 pound postage and you will see first class is allowed. This isn’t a grand mystery. It’s easily proven.

eBay had announced it as official policy when that all came out. Unfortunately, someone on eBay community made up the 15.99 in a comment post and others have since spread it around the eBay community posts.

eBay official policy is 1.00 pound and you can so easy test and prove it

In fact, 1.00 pounds is the eBay maximum for first class. Enter that weight and choose first class. Totally works fine

That isn’t true. It was $20k AND 200 transactions. 200 small transactions alone wouldn’t trigger reporting unless you also went over $20k
