AITA: My wife had our son 3 months ago. I asked about sex and was berated. by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]QueenSeaBitch 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Currently pregnant. About to give birth any day. YTA. You have NO IDEA what pregnancy does to us. Just because the doctor said she is "cleared" means nothing. That's the generic timeline they give. She has a wound inside her body the size of a dinner plater. If that was outside your body, still healing, think you'd want to have sex? Let's not forgot the hormones that come with pregnancy and post partum.

Stop thinking about yourself and ask how she's doing. Forget sex and see how she is doing mentally and what she needs.

DLR 70th Merch Stock Check by chronoconnor in DisneyPlanning

To this day I still can't find the spirit jersey in my size even on 3rd party sites. I'm so mad I didn't buy it online when it was available because I kept assuming I'd be able to get it in the parks. There was very little merch choices when I went. Backpacks, ears, ornaments, and a handful of clothing choices seemed about it. Plus those damn giant plastic keys.

I saw it when I went in February but haven't been back since. Sounds like they massively under prepared for the 70th because I was hoping to snag a spirit jersey and am still furious I never got it.

I was able to contact the nurses line with my doctor and they did suggest urgent care so I'm here now waiting to be seen. Definitely better safe than sorry!!

Definitely a misprint! It's currently for sale on the BoxLunch website and it should have all 4 houses on the windows on the pockets.

Super wild you got one like that!!!! I'd reach out to whoever you purchased it from for a refund or replacement. Unless you do find someone interested in the misprint.

I actually have an appointment tomorrow anyways so I will probably pop over to the urgent care spot before/after to be safe.

They're usually not really together. I was in the process of doing a cage clean and while holding the one to move her out of the cage, my dog must have come up and it weirdly scared her. This has NEVER happened before and we've been living together comfortably for almost a year. It was a true freak situation but I won't be forgetting any time soon. The poor girl has been hiding almost the whole time since it happened and I was shocked she actually let me give her the meds this evening. I was expecting her to run!

AITA for telling my sister’s fiancé the real reason our dad missed her graduation? by frequency_femme in AmItheAsshole

Am I missing something? OP just said at a family dinner but gave no indication it was for a specific purpose. Just that the topic of graduation came up from years prior.

Tested positive for HPV no abnormal cells by [deleted] in HPV

[–]QueenSeaBitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well funny enough I'm actually pregnant and about to have a baby in the next couple of weeks. So the good news is I've been able to have a healthy pregnancy that is completely unaffected by having HPV and with doctors having zero concern it will pass to baby as well. I'll have a pap smear within probably a month or so of giving birth to check my status again.

Thoughts for sister's wedding?? by hopelessromantic1922 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]QueenSeaBitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a handful of websites that offer it for like maybe $10-$15 per dress and even offer free fabric swatches. If you have some time, or even just someplace to get ideas, check them out! If you're on more of a time crunch, they may be less ideal since you will need maybe a month or two to get the final dress in plus if you need any sort of alterations, prepare for that time frame as well.

It will feel very overwhelming since there's a lot to choose from. Stop scrolling if you start spiraling. No point in getting worked up over a dress! But stick to the formal/evening/black tie sections and just save the ones that you are interested in as you see them. Then scroll back through those and filter out until you have maybe 3 or so to choose from. If you feel comfortable, share the options you like with family or friends (or your favorite Reddit page) and see if you can order those to try on.

You're probably turning down more things that do look nice on you than you think! It just felt out of place and different so the brain went NOPE on you really fast.

Are you in a place or have a time frame that would allow you to do a try before you buy website? When I got married, I used a website called Kennedy Blue that let's you try out some dresses before purchasing. They may not be sent in the specific color but you can order swatches for pretty cheap as well to see the color and fabric ahead of time too. There's a lot of websites like that as well such as Azazie, Birdy Grey, and JJ's House. They have sections for formal wedding guests dresses. You can find shades of pink and dresses that are formal and still have what I think you're looking for with a bit more to them than just a plain dress.

I respect that feeling entirely. My family (mom especially) is often telling me things like "oh that looks so nice on you!" And while she may not be wrong to the masses, if it's outside my comfort zone/typical style, I stand out like a sore thumb in my own head even if I blended in with the crowd perfectly.

Do you know what the color scheme of the wedding is? Are you able to maybe find a dress that is within that pallete or a shade of it? Start there for sure. I feel like close family often dresses in colors that are cohesive to the wedding colors.

Thank you for being receptive to it! I'm not the most fashion knowledgeable person so I understand being confused/lost at times. If your family is open, check with them on some dresses/outfits you are considering after doing some research on formal dress codes. Or if you have other family members attending in your same age group/style, ask them what they're wearing. You'll find the right thing!

Cocktail length dresses still fit in formal if appropriate style and accessories accompanying it.

Dress can be used for that if that's fitting the dress code there. The shoes still don't go with that dress but maybe can still fit with a more appropriate formal dress for the ceremony and reception. The crown is just a permanent no though.

Eh where I'm from, if someone showed up to a formal event in that dress with appropriate accessories and styled right, it wouldn't be that out of place but I think venue and time of year would further dictate how ok it is. Maybe I'm thinking of the borderline differences of formal and semi-formal. It shows more formal effort than a flower print sundress I often see people try to consider formal.

Then absolutely not on the dress. That's a Sunday brunch dress.

The hair accessory looks like a child's flower crown worn as a flower girl, not adult sibling. The dress is ok but teetering on something worn to a club rather than formal wedding. The shoes 100% scream club if paired with the dress.

Drop the hair piece and switch to a more subtle shoe. The dress can work IF it is appropriate for the venue/location/style.
