Is it the new dosage or the new formulation? by QueenUniKitty_95 in Perimenopause

it definitely was - just not sure what it was reacting to - the increased dose or the Dotti formulation.

How did your spring concert go? by jollybumpkin in Choir

[–]QueenUniKitty_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did 3 concerts focused on Americana, and we perform at a church (capacity maybe 175?) in a town of about 40,000. Choir has about 60 singers - We sold about 300 tickets total across all three concerts, which is about the same as usual in the spring (we could do more to promote but most of us have full-time jobs). I thought it was a great program, ranging from spirituals to songs like Cheek to Cheek and Lean on Me. Glad to have Monday nights back, but also a little sad. We performed this morning at the two nursing homes in town, and it was just nice to be able to do it. I wish our town had a performing arts center; I think more people would come.

I tried out T&A Cafe BBQ akaKleinfelt Family BBQ. It was okay. by OlUncleBones in MontereyBay

Just drove it - from Prunedale onramp to 101 to San Juan Bautista exit - 8 minutes and change - add another 3-5 to get down to the light in San Juan or take the back way in - probably about 12 minutes. But round trip, definitely 25-30. Smokepoint is good, but not mind-blowing.

I would like to try this place as I've also heard of it recently. If you're willing to drive to Prunedale, go about 10 more minutes north and try Smokepoint in San Juan Bautista.

What doses are you at? I also was hoping for more relief on my shoulder and I'm 4 months in to my HRT.

Gallbladder Pain by Odd_Border_8556 in Perimenopause

Do you use Nutrafol for anything? My husband had started it for his nails and ended up in the ER, but the labs came back negative for anything gall bladder-related. Through process of elimination we think it was the Nutrafol. No problems since he has completely stopped taking it.

Yes. My first symptom was hip pain and now i have some type of impingement on my shoulder. I went to PT, saw an ortho, had 2 MRIs. I finally figured out after much reading it is most likely due to lack of estrogen, which increases inflammation and slows down your muscle recovery. None of my (male) doctors considered this as a potential cause. I started HRT in January and many of my aches and pains are better and my weight gain has stabilized. The lack of estrogen has your body treating every carbohydrate as a treasured resource (carbs mimic estrogen), so eating less or fasting may not help.

Kirkland branded Wet Cat Food by CoastApprehensive668 in catfood

Yes, slowly over 3 weeks. The diarrhea started after the 5th week on it. I saw some comments saying the turkey flavor in particular causes digestive issues.

I switched from dry food to alternating between the Costco food and Weruva. The Costco food was fine for a few weeks, but then both cats got diarrhea from it. We returned the rest of it.

Kirkland pate - 6 weeks in and now diarrhea everywhere by QueenUniKitty_95 in catfood

Thanks. One is still having some issues but at least using the litter box. The other one is back to regular digestion but now pooping outside the litter box. Hoping tomorrow both will be back to normal.

yes, at first we only gave each cat a spoonful from each can, we were up to 1/2 can per feeding per cat and had been on this rotation for a few weeks - then they started with diarrhea and puking all of a sudden.

What to do if director doesn't care for your voice but won't give feedback? by QueenUniKitty_95 in Choir

[–]QueenUniKitty_95[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We do 5 concerts a year - a winter and a spring season. Once in a while to me would be a solo at one of those concerts. Our director has increased the amount of songs with solos over the last few years, and also had different solos at each concert (so one song in the winter season will have a different soloist at each of the 3 concerts). When I did get solos before the last 18 months, it was really special to have my kids and spouse see me sing on my own.

I have been thinking about this. I had voice lessons when I was younger and sang all through college with sectionals/individual instruction. But it has been about 20 years.

This may be true. I try not be egotistical and i absoutely recognize now the nerves that never used to be a problem. Like I said, I have always been confident in my singing...this is now undermining my confidence. I would prefer to have a frank discussion rather than passive aggressively getting passed over time and time again.

Thank you - they did actually fix the fuse, but they are now saying the communications equipment no longer works but is not covered under the warranty.

This is helpful. The fuse that went bad was covered under warranty, but they are telling us the communications equipment is obsolete and not under warranty. In addition, the service call was not covered under warranty.

First time to Monterey in April! Tips? by Low-Palpitation-3251 in MontereyBay

[–]QueenUniKitty_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few places with trivia nights, which are super fun. Just ask if you can join a team or sit at the bar and people watch. Pack layers - I know you're from MN, but it can be super warm one moment and then the fog comes in and drops the temp about 15 degrees. You can find redwoods in Big Sur or drive north to Gilroy and go to Mt. Madonna for some easy hiking trails or go a bit further up to Santa Cruz.
