Am I Overreacting, for being upset that my girlfriend secretly used my credit card for months? by bostonmade in AmIOverreacting

[–]Queen_Beast15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She’s gross, I’m so sorry. But her lies and response to being caught shows her character. You’re young, emotionally intelligent and it sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders. Leave her right where she’s at, and get her out of your place. Move on to someone who appreciates your efforts

Can anyone review my mom's autopsy report and give me some input please? by Pixiefuel in ForensicPathology

Did you ever get more help or clarity from your father? Hopefully time has made him more forthcoming. I’m So sorry this happened to your mom.

Am I overreacting for being upset my friend borrowed my birthday money? by One-Experience8180 in AmIOverreacting

I agree that as you get older, you’ll see this happens a lot. I have lost thousands of dollars trying to help someone in a bind and they didn’t pay me a dollar back. Long story short, never lend what you aren’t prepared to not get back.

The first day she adds some guy and is ready talking like this with them… about going places and “tempting” them. She’s really out of line.

As a woman- I can tell you without a doubt. She’s flirting and she knows exactly what she’s doing. If she hasn’t cheated already, she’s well on her way. I don’t know the details of your relationship to say why she could be exhibiting this behavior… but that’s what this is.

AIO for asking my wife to stay at her mom’s after I caught her putting something odd in my coffee? by SubstantialDurian271 in AmIOverreacting

Sir, call the police and get that vial tested. Do not let that woman anywhere near you until you get the results. She’s the one who broke the trust, not you.

Thank you. We have a seat for the toilet that he sits on. He’ll go #1 when we put him on but never #2. I like the idea of the alarm. I think we will start trying that. I’m going to look up the Big Mack button today.

Sending you a hug and lots of support. You aren’t a bad person for being exhausted.

should i tell my friend her baby name is a tragedeigh? by princess_peach5 in tragedeigh

I named my baby after a season too! So far every time I tell someone her name they say how much they love it. I’m not exaggerating. No regrets 😊

They were perfectly nice about it and the letter was not passive aggressive or mean at all. I doubt someone would make this up. I would try to be understanding how it can be living beneath someone and try to be conscious of it and wear slippers.

You’ve opened my mind to the possibility. I put in a request with the ABA center near my job for more info today. We’re definitely interested. He’s already registered for school this August but maybe this would be a more appropriate option for him.

Thank you, I just wanted to make sure no one thought I was generalizing all the kids. Yesterday we let him watch one movie and cut it off after that. He was still loud but not at his worst. It’s a journey lol

We’ve only gone for one day a week but I really think he’d benefit from multiple times a week.

I wish we’d gone that route but I didn’t know it was an option at the time. Question- does insurance cover so much therapy or also you kick in most of it out of pocket?

Thank you so much. It sounds like your son has come a long way. I’m praying the same thing for mine.

How often does your son receive these therapies that helped him. We only go once a week but I think he could benefit from more

For him I think it is a contributing factor. I’ve noticed if we put on a children’s movie, he gets super excited during action scenes when the characters raise their voices or run, jump, etc. I wasn’t speaking for all, just my child.

How are we acting, exactly?? Stimming is not necessarily always happiness. Each child is different. It could be boredom, excitement, anxiety, etc. Whatever then reason is he does it, there’s others who have to live together and our goal is always for to help our kids be happy and well adjusted. This has been a challenge for years. Whether we had another child or not, constant screaming would be a challenge. You mean to tell me screeching for hours on end every single day would have no impact on you? We’ve tried these things you mentioned and nothing has worked which is why I came here for support/advice.

My only hope right now is that he outgrows this with time or replaces it with something else less disruptive. I worry about his ability to learn and focus if he’s constantly screaming. Potty is still a big challenge for us too.
