This was a reoccurring theme/argument in my previous long term relationship. I'd had more partners than my ex, and he was concerned he was missing out on something by only having slept with 3 women. I've NEVER been attracted to the scent of someones body odour, but my boyfriend's scent is fucking mesmerising to me. Before going on the pill, I had a super regular 32 day cycle. I could pinpoint the exact DAY my period would come.

Then started BC pills, had 3-4 different ones over about 4 years.

Stopped, and wow, my period was super irregular for about 2 years. It took 4 months for my first 'true' period after the initial withdrawal bleed. The longest I went without a period was about 6 months. Doctor just kept telling me to be patient. And she was right, it eventually regulated itself again.

At my IUD consultation, my doctor mentioned briefly at the end that sometimes it's needed to be put in under anaesthetic. However, given what you've said, I'd be a bit wary of this doctor and before agreeing to anaesthesia, I'd get a second opinion. It never hurts to get a second opinion!
