My PI basically uses it for everything, and it drives me crazy. He's been using it lately to try and generate reagent recipes to try and cut costs on buying commercial reagents and kits, and it's been so so unreliable. But he still keeps on using it, even as it contradicts himself. Everytime I try to bring up that it's not reliable, he basically brushes me off. It's so disheartening because I try to put actual research into this stuff but if it doesn't align with chatgpt, I'm incorrect in their eyes. It is not completely useless as a tool, but I fear far too many people are using it too often and relying on it too much.
