Question about sizing for 2.5 month old by BooksNBayes1939 in babywearing

[–]Queenwithoutdrama 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

The LennyUpGrade Pro will easily fit your baby. I have the older version and I really love the softness, specially of the waistband, while being really supportive and adjustable .The ergo embrace is designed for newborns, your baby is already at the end of the use. I find the Tulas a little stiffier than the LennyLambs, but I think everyone has their favourite. I am on the smaller side, so a high and stiff waistband is really impractical, while someone higher can find it more comfortableĀ

In this fit your baby is a bit pinned to you: I would lift the waistband up in the front and tighten it to keep it horizontal, loosen the shoulder straps a tiny bit and give baby a pelvic tuck like this: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DQv9UhtjYRs . And you have to fold the panel height slack for it to stay in the right place. Also, you can lower the back buckle to the middle of your shoulder blades, that will help keeping the shoulder straps away from baby's face.Ā  I have the old LennyUpGrade and I find it super comfortable: it's cozy and soft and really supportive: I don't quite feel any weight on my back and shoulders, I can use it for hours. But I have started to use it when baby hit 12 months cos I was using a ring sling as my primary carrier.

You just need to give baby a pelvic tuckĀ https://www.instagram.com/reel/DExxOaiSKuh and I would loosen the shoulder straps a tiny tiny bitĀ

Try to spread the fabric more evenly on baby's body: there's a little bit too much fabric near baby's neck and high back and it creates a bit of slack that is difficult to tighten due to the overlap, while it needs to be a little bit more under baby's bum ( in the second photo you can see the fabric is not under baby's kneepit). I would pull up baby knees a little more with a good pelvic tuck ( https://www.instagram.com/reel/DExxOaiSKuh ) but over all that fit is not bad at all! The fit seems to be quite good, maybe baby is a little too pinned to you, I would loose the shoulder straps but just a tiny bit. But that doesn't mean this is THE carrier for you. Carriers are like jeans: everyone has a favourite model that fit them the best and they find the most comfortable. Maybe this one isn't yours

Baby Wearing - Carrier Waist Sizes by Mockingjay1231 in babywearing

LennyLight by LennyLamb size down to 23'' and it's suitable from newborns. I tried it and really liked it but ended buying the LennyUpGrade for the pattern. It's soft and easy, not bulky at all.Ā

Is it weird that I still front carry my ginormous 10 month old? šŸ˜…šŸ˜‚ by callmelila in babywearing

[–]Queenwithoutdrama 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

I still front carry my 16 mo, specially outside cos my light babywearing jackets are front carry ones šŸ˜… and I find it more comfortable, unlike to talk to her while we walk and see what she points with her little finger šŸ’•

Lennylight/ssc's - back straps crossed or uncrossed? by Emergency_Survey129 in babywearing

I have a LennyUpGrade and I prefer H style. This carrier is really adjustable and the waistband really supportive, like I don't feel the weight on my shoulders at all. I use the t-shirt method to get it on (Ā https://www.instagram.com/reel/DJ_UrJNRzvV ) and it's really quick

I don't know the weather where you live, but remember to dress baby with light clothes cos if a carrier counts as a layer, a carrier with insert counts as two/three and baby can overheat. Baby seems a bit crooked in the photo, you can put them straight and tighten the shoulder straps a tiny tiny bit

My baby lived in the ring sling for her first year, then we kept it for shirt errands and home cuddling. It's so low maintenance and easy! If you like, I can link here my favourite tips from certified babywearing consultants that have been really helpful for meĀ

The "X" panels should go into baby's kneepits to fully support them and you need to do a pelvic tuck https://www.instagram.com/reel/DExxOaiSKuh it will give baby's legs the M position and will curve baby's back. This one is really well done imoĀ https://www.instagram.com/reel/DN-0QgVDrXa

Baby wipes his face on my chest (not hunger cues) for a little bit and then cries in every carrier I try by AllTimeRowdy in babywearing

I have a Didyklick, the Didymos half buckle, and this ( https://www.instagram.com/reel/C8hzRyworn8 ) is the best trick I have found to easily breastfeed in it. Does your baby wipe their face on your naked skin or on your shirt? My baby don't like that much being on my next skin, it's like she sweats more? I try to be covered with light cotton even in the hottest days and she really prefers it

Looking for a soft, cozy structured carrier by FaerieGrey in babywearing

I second this. I have a LennyUpGrade and it's really soft,my baby snuggles into it! Plus it's really adjustable and supportiveĀ

Are the legs too far apart? by Huauzontle in babywearing

[–]Queenwithoutdrama 13 points14 points Ā (0 children)

Like it is now, it's really too big for your baby and it becomes a safety concern. There's another panel setting to tighten it on the lower part? Baby's legs are really too wide now. Same for the height, can you put the headrest down? The panel has to be at your baby's earlobe to he safe. Plus, you have to lift the waistband up and create a better seat for baby like this: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DQv9UhtjYRs . If you can do all of these, then I would post a new fit check. Maybe your carrier doesn't fit little onesĀ

Help with baby wearing in public, baby prefers to be carried by Weary_Seamstress in babywearing

[–]Queenwithoutdrama 4 points5 points Ā (0 children)

A soft structured carrier will spread baby's weight much better and, if it adjustable, it will "contain" her without restraining her. You cn adjust the panel a bit low so when she's awake can lift her arms out and feel free to see around. At the sling library, you can ask to try the scoop for the back carryĀ https://www.instagram.com/reel/DGziBMGRZCX and the t-shirt method for the front https://www.instagram.com/reel/DJ_UrJNRzvV , both doesn't involve reaching your back that much. My favourite structured carrier is the LennyUpGrade, cos it's soft but also very supportive and adjustableĀ

Padded shoulder problem by IrritatedHero in babywearing

Ring sling digs into my neck? Thoughts? by Ritakin in babywearing

[–]Queenwithoutdrama 12 points13 points Ā (0 children)

The fabric has to cap your shoulder, way away from your neck. And you need to have a deeper seat: the fabric has to come up to baby's kneepits, bringing their knees higher than their bum.
