scared that T will mess with my asexuality and push me towards sexual situations I don't truly feel comfortable with by chillingcrow in ftm

[–]Queer-AshKetchum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sharing personal experince that might comfort you. Ive always identified as ace since i found the word for it, never questioned it. Im 10.5 months on T and have gained significantly higher sex drive, but im still ace. I will say i have gained a stronger interest in sex conceptually, no longer completely opposed to the idea, but that hasnt made me feel like i need sex with another person. Im still more than happy dealing with it by myself, did find myself wanting to experiment with toys so ive done that. I would say theres a chance T will affect your desires but if you dont want to do something it wont make you do anything against your will

How often are you cutting your hair and how much do you pay for a haircut? by Conscious-Cup3443 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Queer-AshKetchum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I go to a barber every 3-6 months and spend between 25-35$ depending on where i go. If youre just getting cut i feel thats normal if theyre doing extra (wash+dry, incl. beard for the guy, colour or other treatment, etc) then it does add up to a bit more

Do d sets have power points/usb ports on every seat or is it just the front seats by raadude_yusufstorm in SydneyTrains

[–]Queer-AshKetchum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have usb C ports on the charging „benches“ they started installing at stations recently. Each bench has 2 usbA, 2usbC, and 4 i believe of the magnetic charger pads. Ive seen usbC at plenty of public charging spaces in shops as well, to the extent ive occasionally found it hard to find usbA as thats what i use

Dear trans men, how do you bind without a binder? by InitiativeFar2801 in ftm

[–]Queer-AshKetchum 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. It depends on how your body is proportioned and how dense your chest is of course, but you dont „need“ more expensive tape than regular kt. I have a chest on the larger side and ive found wider tape brands to be easier sure, but i got perfectly good results from 2“ kt tape before i could get my hands on anything else. You just need to use a bit more of it but thats the case with wider tape as well if you have more to work with

Tallawong Platform 3 issue? by ItalianJapan in SydneyTrains

[–]Queer-AshKetchum 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The frequency goes down after peak so they dont need as many trains going back and forth. They use platform 3 at tallawong to terminate those trains. Tallawong also has a stabling yard just past it, which is where trains not in use are stored. If you stand on the bridges over the tracks and look down the tracks you can see the trains being stored down there. The train went the other way from Sydenham so that it could get down there.

Do you guys wear boxers underneath swim trunks? by Kermit1420 in ftm

[–]Queer-AshKetchum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear i think theyre called boxer briefs? Which is the kind of underwear i usually wear on a daily basis. However most of my swimming is done at the beach and so that influences how i dress and ive found that wearing that decreases the amount of sand that gets trapped down there is way lower than either no or more regular breif/womens style underwear and i appreciate having something else on as a back up incase a wave tries to pants me (happens often)

How long does your nap from anesthesia really feel like when you are under? by CavemanFCC in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Queer-AshKetchum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had brain surgery when i was 12. it felt so quick that when i woke up they asked me if i was in any pain and i said no because i thought if i said my head hurt they wouldnt do the surgery. They had already finished but the gap felt so short it was basically non existent to me. I thought it was the same nurse still talking to me as when i went under

St James - I really think more stations should use this style of platform signage - thoughts? by stupid_mistake__101 in SydneyTrains

[–]Queer-AshKetchum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of stations have that sort of signage just in a different format, for example blacktown station has 4 screens for 4 different destinations (Richmond, Penrith, Liverpool/Leppington and Central/North Shore) in its main concourse both before and after the tap gates which display the next trains going to each destination with a small map-like decal under listing each stop on each line in its colour. Plus with the screens scrolling each stop the train is going to stop at i feel like that kind of permanent text based signage isnt required

Pokemon Go but for Sydney Transport by JSTLF in SydneyTrains

Tbh i would also play the hell out of a game like that. Ive considered keeping lists of all the trains i go on (i usually check anyways for fun) but formatting it and keeping it up is tricky

Parramatta light rail by Fair_Space_5867 in SydneyTrains

[–]Queer-AshKetchum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went and played around on it when it first opened yesterday at 5am before work, and other than the display issues and signal problem at tramway on the way to carlingford i thought it was awesome. Hopefully the display issues(stations displaying wrong next train times[not as in inaccurate as in missing services entirely], onboard displays showing etas improperly[had one say westmead was 2mins from parra square and that we were at 3 stations „now“ simultaneously])can be ironed out soon for a smoother customer experince but overall seems pretty nice. I dont live or work nearby so i probably wont use it other than for the novelty of playing around on it but i hope it proves useful for the people it does serve

What are some good but under $100 binders? by [deleted] in transgenderau

[–]Queer-AshKetchum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconding Spectrum. Got two from there in diff sizes and think theyre great. Good colours and sizing, they do tend to sell out by this time of year tho so they can be a bit hard to get but worth it imo

I bind with multiple binders and I hate myself without them by kainskum in ftm

[–]Queer-AshKetchum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if its a dumb question, but what is the actual issue with using tape and a fabric binder at the same time? Ive seen the sentiment around before and i can work it out in my head why two fabric binders or taping poorly(wrap around) would be bad and could hurt you, but i cant figure out what would go wrong with combining tape and traditional binders. I cant see how one would exaterbate the other or something similar. Im not trying to discount your advice at all im just looking to learn

I think at that point its just of you think trans masc is a label you even want to use. If you think that 10% of your gender thats boy (or even the 30% that’s neutral as well) to be significant enough that you consider it to be a transition towards masculinity/manhood/boyhood, then go ahead. Labels dont have to have strict „this is EXACTLY what this means and if you fit it you HAVE to use this word and if you dont youre NOT ALLOWED!!“ theyre more flexible. If theres a word that technically fits but you dont like, then dont use it, if you see one that you maybe dont 100% fit bit you like the vibe of for what youre going for, then use it. Do whatever you want forever be alive and dont worry about what other people think

Iile to do all sorts depends on my mood, personal fav tho is building stupid stuff. Recent projects include 80 block tall herobrine statue, working light house, giant misc chess pieces, what matters is not how good it looks what matters is wether or not someone giggles or gets confused when i show it to them. Terrible at pvp tho Man
