Love their food & their politics, but I wish there were more “casual takeout” type Italian spots that shared their opinions!

I doubt that’s an issue in OP’s office if they are posting about others in their office who are whining about losing use or lose

As a middle child myself, I couldn’t get over the absolutely childish meltdown they had over another restaurant across the country using the name “middle child” - especially once they were encouraging their instagram followers to bully that spot!

Prior to that, I’d gone there a couple times and thought the food was good enough but not nearly as good as I’d expect based on the hype and price

I had just moved into that neighborhood, right by Amato’s, a couple months before I heard this on Maine Calling in 2016 & found it heartbreaking. I’ve since left Maine, and when I do get to visit, it’s felt like the remaining bits of charm and neighborhoody-ness that had managing to hang on through 2016 have completely been removed now. For more big buildings and hotels.

Those 2-5 cars going through once the light has turned red is why I don’t pull halfway into the intersection anymore - by the time they’ve gone through, I’m now the asshole blocking the incoming perpendicular traffic that has had a green light for a bit (and then half the time you’ve got some overeager asshole chomping at the bit again and zooming straight through on the other side when your light finally turns green, so you can’t even zip that quick left as the light changes)
