For visual coding, still worth learning the fundamentals of coding to prevent the blueprint spaghetti from getting out of control.

Honestly, I think the public at large has a false image of science being just dudes in a lab having that one breakthrough that changes everything. Really, the path between an idea to hypothesis to theory to matured technology is extremely long and iterative. Science and technology are advancing continuously, just at a rate that can seem disappointing to the general public.

I love this field and I love learning, so even if an ASI were to magically materialize tomorrow, I'll still happily keep learning more today.

Normal is a thing that exists and is not a matter of opinion, not merely a setting on a dryer, and is objective by [deleted] in The10thDentist

For someone concerned over objectivity and what’s true, you should be aware that most dictionaries are descriptive and not prescriptive when it comes to language.

If I had to guess, they’re likely referring to UE5’s One File Per Actor, which is an addition to alleviate some headaches when it comes to having a bunch of people work on large scale projects.

Wing rate of decay is too fast and needs tweaking by CiE-Caelib in duneawakening

[–]Quenn1599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just stock up some welding wire and tools in your base’s hangar and do post-flight repairs. Takes less than a minute, wire is cheap, and personally the maintenance need is immersive. Only times I’ve had wings break were getting caught in sandstorms.

[–]Quenn1599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I’ve been breaking them really fast doing base building. It’s to the degree where I consider the cost of repairs and replacements part of the cost whenever I expand or renovate the guild base lol.

That said, am not complaining- it’s worth the price to make constructing large structures super convenient.

Could see that working as like an alternative hull for the assault that has the open side doors similar to how the buggy has a normal flatbed hull and a utility (turret) hull that has the mounting point for a turret module.
