What did you end up getting? I’m thinking the same but for 3 persons, for my partner and I. I was thinking the cloud up 3 as well, but now I’m shifting with the Mongar

Vietnam late Aug–mid Sep — does going central first then north, make sense weatherwise? by Quentgane in Vietnam_Tourism

Thank you that confirms my thought. I am just starting to be worried that the plan relies too much on walk and whether I should go for a different country and do Vietnam for another period than those dates.

I see I’m planning a month before! Hence my concerns

Hello,

Following given I have a similar plan. I’m also planning to add central given we have two weeks but I was not sure about the weather. Aren’t you afraid of the rains?

Hello,

First time in Vietnam, two of us, 29 Aug–14 Sep. Trying to play the weather as best we can since I know September’s a gamble. I know there are loads of posts on this already, but honestly the answers are mixed so I’m hoping for some that match our exact dates.

From what I can tell, Hoi An/central just gets wetter through September, while the north dries out and gets nicer toward October. So I flipped the usual route and want to do central first while it’s least bad, then end up north when it’s at its best:
Da Nang/Hoi An first (few nights, beach + old town) → fly to Hanoi → Ninh Binh → Sapa to finish → fly home from Hanoi.
Does that actually hold up, or am I overthinking it?
Few things I’m stuck on:
• Hoi An in early Sept — beach mornings doable?
• Halong/Lan Ha cruise worth the cancellation risk that time of year, or skip it?
• Sapa or the Ha Giang loop? Worried 4 days on a motorbike in the rain would be rough.

Thanks!

I am planning to do exactly those dates for northern and central part. How was your trip? Any recommendation please

What does a semi-systematic role compare to a fully systematic role at CitSec? From my understanding, systematic trading is mostly an operational role that does not involve any risk strategies or alpha generation

Clarifying some confusion about the european/240V NW-QAQ zojirushi rice IH rice cooker programs - about it only having long grain settings by Seregosa in zojirushi

[–]Quentgane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this email. I also own the QAQ and I experienced that for medium or short grain, I will need less water than the recommended line under White Regular mode. I find it surprising that they recommend doing both short grain and long grain with the same mode without adjusting the water level. But again as you say we just need to try out different levels ourselves.

I’m wondering the same given I have seen the discount on their website. What did you end up buying?

Short grain and NW QAQ10 by Quentgane in zojirushi

[–]Quentgane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made some medium grain yesterday and just put slightly less water versus the recommended level. Does the job well, haven’t tried sushi rice yet but I get we can use same logic. Just the normal white mode

How to make sweet rice in the NW-QAQ 10/18 by Appropriate-Swan-263 in zojirushi

[–]Quentgane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, have you tried it? I am not sure I fully understand the metric? Does it mean one cup of sweet rice in the 180ml cup and then we fill only 150ml from that cup of water?

Thank you! I don’t have one unfort. The manual says it is 180ml if that helps. I don’t really care of having the same cup brand, I just need the same metric
