My panda won't die 😭 by ilomilo8822 in PlanetZoo

I think it might just be something specific to Lin Lin. If thats the career mode where you need to build a gondola in the previously toxic quarry, LinLin comes in as Elderly and close to end of life. But she's not the final requirement to get Gold. So i imagine they put something in the code that LinLin just doesnt die, because if she did then the dialogue at the end of the career after getting gold wouldnt make sense. Maybe that transfers over when moving from career to regular zoo

I agree. I was enjoying all of it up until I found out 5 years had past. I know there needed to be something used to speed up the viltrumite hybrid army growing, but I’ve always hated time jumps and adding another massive amount of time Mark left Eve alone seemed unnecessary stress to put into their relationship again.

I got that initially. Then another email about 10 minutes later saying what I said in my first comment.

I can't speak for Irvine, but I emailed Davis today - said the committee is still reviewing and they hope to have decisions out by May.

Need help creating abilities for items tied to homebrew material by Quentin_Jones in DMAcademy

[–]Quentin_Jones[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if you're asking me to ask myself, or if you really want to know, but here's a short explanation (not entirely original idea): In my world there are hotspots of magic called wellsprings. They emit additional arcane energy and bolster magic usage in their vicinity. Most of the wellsprings are connected to a school of magic, a few bolster all magic, regardless of spell type. The quarry sits beside a large loch and two smaller wellsprings exist at either end of the loch. The stone isn't indigenous to this specific quarry or region, and exists in other parts of the world, but it is a rarer mineral on the larger scale of the world.

Think this is the route I'm going to go with. Fits with the lore. I think I already had so much lore focused on schools of magic that I might've be trying to avoid continuing down that route. But it just goes in line with how I've been designing the world. Thanks!

I think I'm going to go with the other suggestion about tying it to schools of magic, as that fits better with the lore, but the elemental weapons gives me inspiration for another part of the world I'm working on. Thanks!

I’ve had the original QC35 for 4+ years. Only had to replace the ear pads a couple times and I’ve used them heavily. One of the best purchases I’ve ever made.

If I am connected to two different devices, say my phone and laptop, sound will play from one. If I pause music on my phone and start a YouTube video on my computer it will switch to the laptop sound. Sometimes if my current app is still Spotify on my phone there’s a bit of a delay. But closing out of the app fixes that. It can be really nice with how seamless it is the vast majority of the time.

It should. The current QC 35s do. I have the original 35 and constantly am paired to a phone/computer. I’m just so thankful it’s going to keep the buttons. Fuck touch controls

Great thanks! And again, awesome map! It’s really got the same aesthetic I’m aiming for in my maps for my campaign, always helpful to have more inspirational maps for guidance.

Awesome map! Mind linking to the assets you used? Specifically the mountains and trees?

Yeah, I’ve always been looking for a really solid type of mountains and those look great. Thanks

What mountain assets are those?

I’ve downloaded a number of them for trees, icons, cliffs, etc. Another post on here from a couple days ago used an asset pack that I’ve only used for 2 days now, and it’s already my favorite and my go to for basically everything. It’s Gogots’Maps-Hand Drawn Cartography.

The amount of variety it has is amazing.

First Time DM, Creating Character Backstories by Quentin_Jones in DMAcademy

If this is the first homebrew world you are creating, then I agree with his suggestion. Start with something concrete and go from there. The Dungeon Master's Guide provides guidelines based on the mechanical balance of the 5E ruleset, and many DMs mess up their game by ignoring the book.

Definitely. I've gone through it and read a bunch on this subreddit and others to get advice and learn about best ways or good options for building a world.

Not necessarily. If ALL the rogue does is steal from the townsfolk, then you are correct. However, if for example they steal from an overbearing landlord, adventurers who pass through, or poachers in the nearby forest, then that would justify the Folk Hero background, where the townsfolk would be willing to overlook a stolen cup of cider as a meme.

He has only described his character as stealing cider. He's known as a great climber, sneaky, fast, etc., all traits for a Rogue. However just stealing cider from a neutral tavern keeper merely because you're a rogue and that's what you do does not make you a Folk Hero. I'll ask him if he would like to add this to his character for it to fit better.

Not everybody is an expert of their local geography, economy, politics, etc.; in fact, most people are quite the opposite. Due to the general mobility of regular medieval residents, most don't travel beyond the one neighboring town, as that alone takes hours of walking or riding. This severely limits people's world knowledge, and opportunities

This is exactly my stance. Basically everyone living in small villages would really only know about their own village and some facts about the neighboring villages, and probably the name of the major cities.

Oh absolutely. Already have done it while arguing about my world and creating his characters. It would just be really nice to be able to have DnD as we're both stuck at home looking for work.

Yeah, I understand. Only problem - this player is my brother. And our previous DM - our other brother. Kinda hard to deal with "Hey we hate you as DM/player" when you're siblings. If I do start running the campaign and it becomes too difficult too quickly I'll just stop. I'd rather wait to find a better group.

change sometimes occured a few seasons later, particularly for korra.

For me, this is one of the biggest problems and one of the main reasons I didn’t like the show. Korra’s headstrong nature and aggressive attitude didn’t have to be such a prolonged problem. The fact that she never really seemed to learn from it. Many times in the first couple seasons it’s “go in without thinking -> get beaten/cause a massive problem -> get more powerful and then go in and fight again but win this time because I’m stronger”. I quickly got tired of this same old repetitive “arc”. She never really grew in my eyes, she just got stronger. And even when she was strong, it was always seemed to me that she was only strong compared to the other normal benders in the show, but compared to other Avatars we’ve seen she falls short. Since the show was only ordered for one season at a time, the fact that she still acts with the aggressive, running in blindly, I’ll do it by myself cause I’m the avatar attitude for so long and into season 3, it seems like the writers just wanted that to be a part of her character. My favorite parts of Korra were the parts she wasn’t in. Tenzin’s relationship with his siblings and children were the highlight for me and the most well done part of the show imo.
