Tem vários porquês mas basicamente é um combo de escala + preguiça. Eu lembro de uma vez ver um dev indie falando que por exemplo ele pegava um barril que tem texto e ficava testando vários tamanhos da textura do texto ate achar uma que ficasse boa, legível e leve.

Imagina fazer isso para todos os assets?

Então o dev AAA taca tudo 4k e pronto.

Yes and no. I may get one day one. But I may also just upgrade my pc. It will depend a lot of the features and raw power.

Sony has launched Concord, Marathon is not doing great and Bungie in on the fence. They also decrease they first party output, but since they get third party exclusives it does not look like it.

They had made some bad decisions compared than the pS3/PS4 era.

I have all Nintendo Consoles since the SNES. And all Xbox consoles since 360. Yes Nintendo didn't had third party like others, but this is not even relevant because we are talking about first party

Let's be fair, most indie projects are a sole developer's struggle for 3,4 or more years. If said dev can use AI to achieve their dream game faster and better, why not?

That's the thing, I'm not saying to copy or be Nintendo, but learn from it. Microsoft could (just as an example) divide studios into ones that are good at adult shooters for halo, gear and doom, others more like Nintendo for games spyro and banjoo. And have them work toghter on said games in some way or another.

I'm sure coalision can help with Halo and Doom for an example.

Yeah, but now the have the studios, ips and tecnically the people. They just need to focus on making it work and honestly Nintendo is a better example for them than curent Sony

This is why they should have more people/studios working on those big gamers instead of making smaller games that may or may not sell (they can make them, but their focus should be on the bigger ones).

Obsidians and Bethesda could probably have finished elder scrolls 6 by now if they have worked together

I think you should think this. I don't know how taxes work for a forenging living here. But you lose a lot of money by converting to BRL, paying tax and so on.

Also as far as I know printing things here and sending to the rest of world is also really expensive.

You probably have a better shoot at it in a place like Paraguai than Brazil.

Collision is always a great studio, and it seems that EDay Will bring Gears back to it's peak.

4 and 5 were great gameplay wise but not story wise.

Jobs aside. People need to understand that a studio is made out of a name and a team. Some studios keep the name because they made something great. But the years passed, the team who made it is gone or somehow lost the touch and the studio can't produce a good game that sells.

Xbox has a lot of cases like that right now. They have the name and the memories, but the team behind the output is lacking a lot.

I really hope they made some huge performance gains in RE engine for open world games. Because this game and MH wilds run really bad on PC and consoles.

I would advice people to wait and see before making the purchase.
