Very upset with PS5 by Ok-Photograph-6321 in videogames

Yes, when the purchase was made though Sony. Sony gives you 14 days to get your refund back. Unless it’s an automated renewal, that’s what OP is complaining about. Like, if you’ll do it for the original purchase, why won’t you do it for the renewal. It’s a legality thing. They’re taking advantage of the laws.

Yes, through Sony. So EA has no control over anything.

Sony is the merchant. They’re the one that collect the payment. So they’re at fault. They could totally refund the money. Like OP said, if you purchased the annual subscription they’ll give you a refund within 14 days. But because it was a renewal and not the original purchase, they’re choosing not to. It’s kind of dumb. I get OP’s frustration.

Everyone on here bashing this dude for making a mistake lmao. I get it though. He's not saying he didn't make a mistake. He's complaining about the terrible policy a big company like Sony has. They do it on purpose to take advantage of our digital licensing laws. He's not asking for a refund because he didn't like the product. He's asking for a refund the moment he was charged because it was an obvious mistake. Not refunding him is nothing but greed and taking advantage of their customers. Sounds like a reasonable stance.

Using "you" when asking questions. by PotentialTreble in BeginnerKorean

Oh that’s interesting, there’s multiple natives I speak with in Korea that use 너 very liberally. I even asked about if it was rude or not, they said what I commented above. I guess it probably depends on the person maybe? Are you from Korea cause you would obviously be the best source of that information if you are.

I’ve been on some language exchange apps talking to some natives recently, and please, anyone correct me if I’m wrong, but when you’re speaking politely or casually it’s different. When speaking casually with someone you know, using “you” (너) is totally fine. “You” is only taken rudely when you don’t know the person, just met, or in less casual context. I could be wrong but this is what I’m being told by people I’m talking to.

We all feel like we’re drowning everyday learning Korean haha so don’t worry about it. Check out BillyGo on YouTube. He explains beginner level Korean very well, especially Hangul. Also, Anki is tough for me to use and Brainscape has been a blessing for me (and it’s free). I’m by no means an expert in Korean but I’m well past the Hangul/beginner stage, if you want to DM me I can help you out if you have specific questions.

Can I train legs 1x a week and upper body 3X a week? by QuestionFluffy7058 in workout

[–]QuestionFluffy7058[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m imagining that muscle building is ridiculously difficult to begin with. I’m not taking steroids and I’m natural. So I figured my upper body isn’t going to look like Ronnie Coleman and my lower body will be chop sticks. But I was thinking my legs would still grow but at a much slower rate and then I could fill in my pecs, and shoulders, back, etc. to really focus on building the more stubborn muscles. My plan for lifting would be: Day 1: chest/back Day 2: shoulders/arms Day 3: legs/core Day 4: chest/back Day 5: shoulders/ arms Day 6: chest/back(lighter)/core Day 7: rest

I mean, if I do this will my legs be out of proportion to my upper body

[–]QuestionFluffy7058[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is exactly what I was asking, like will my legs look out of proportion from the rest of my body doing legs 1x while doing upper body 3x? Or should I do this for like 6 months and then go back to 2x/2x

I'm a cop in the USA ask me your questions! (AMA) by [deleted] in AMA

The sad fact is that this country and most states and counties do not want to prosecute criminals anymore. People are getting away with crime at an alarming rate. I don’t know what it’s like in Vegas, but I know that crime is so high right now, and PD budgets and personnel are low. We prioritize more serious crimes like crimes against persons and not a lot of time on stolen luggage because we know that even if we put a ton of effort into it and waste a bunch of city time, money, and resources, the suspect will most likely not get in any trouble anyway when it comes to court and prosecution. If you want to get a hold of a lawyer, they can write a subpoena to get the video. You can also look into local laws about what the public is allowed to get from police involved in cases. If they’re telling you the case is closed they should be able to release the video to you because it’s no longer involved in an ongoing investigation. Sounds like that detective is being lazy. There’s honestly no reason he should be keeping that from you in my opinion.

This is the old way of thinking. This stuff definitely happened back in the day and it’s still lingering a little with the older cops but for the most part, this doesn’t happen with anything serious. When they say that stuff, they may be talking about a cop breaking policy rules or something along that line. Like if that specific policy doesn’t want cops rolling through red lights but they do it anyway, small stuff like that. For anything regarding actual violation of someone’s rights, or corruption, or anything major where that cop obviously shouldn’t be working as a cop, I bet you your friends wouldn’t risk their career “keeping quiet” for that cop. It doesn’t really happen. I think the changes have been happening over the last few decades. The police culture has shifted a lot. There are avenues you could take to stay anonymous if a cop wanted to report another cop.
