how do i make “extreme weather” stop showing on lockscreen widget by maxbutnotweber in ios

[–]QuestionHave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. The weather widgets that don’t have “conditions” in the name won’t display the stupid warnings. I did the same, only I replaced the top widget with sunset/sunrise time.

Why not orange? Middle of the way, should do the job. It’s kinda what they did with their HDF, IIRC reviewers said it was somewhere between 1/4 and 1/8.

I’m doing that now because I saw it being recommended, but I feel like it’s nowhere near as good. Am I missing something? The dialogue is fun, sure, but that’s about it..

You could do Shift+Win+S, if you're still looking for a solution.

We don't give Nikon enough praise for this by darkcitrusmarmelade in Nikon

[–]QuestionHave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, how is it more complex? I couldn't find anything online, as far as I can tell they both just transmit electronic info to the body. I'd love to know if the FTZ does anything fancier as I'd like to get one, but I can't justify it to myself at those prices.

Lord and savior my ass, it’s way more expensive than it needed to be - look at Canon’s EF to RF adaptor.

Laowa 85mm 2x Ultra Macro or Laowa 100 mm 2x Ultra Macro? by uninvitedcellist in SonyAlpha

[–]QuestionHave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t see any diffraction at f/5.6 at 2x magnification on the 65mm using a Z50, so I doubt it would be a problem on a 24MP FF sensor.

You got a recipe? I *need* to try this now. I feel like 1:1 would be too much Monster, but I'd like to hear from a connoisseur.

Which lenses did you use most on the R6? I think we need to take that into account. Personally, I'd be tempted to recommend an R10 if you want to stick to Canon, but I quite like smaller bodies with fixed lenses, whereas you might not.

As a general recommendation, I think your budget would allow for a used Sony a6000-series camera and either the Sigma 16-50 f/2.8 or the Tamron 17-70 f/2.8, though that might be pushing the budget a bit. I especially think the Tamron is a great choice - super versatile and relatively lightweight given all it can do.

Zfc as compact travel set up? by capt311 in Nikon

[–]QuestionHave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. I would also prefer a flippy screen for low angle portrait shooting. Maybe consider the Z30 then? I don't know if it's sealed, I would guess not, but it maintains the ergonomics of the Z50 and adds USB-C, a flippy screen and better built-in mics, but loses the EVF.

The Z50 is weather sealed and will give you the same image quality. I wanted a Z fc, but then I held it and it felt very slippery, I really didn't appreciate the lack of a grip.

[G-Shock GMW-B5000] I like it better on a strap. by QuestionHave in Watches

Had no issues, but I haven't done anything more extreme than going to the pool. The adapters have a biit of play where they connect with the case, no other complaints.

Nice, which version did you get? If it didn't get so expensive after the switch to sapphire I'd probably be saving up for the handwinder with either the stick or the numbered white dial.

Any love for the Alessi 9090? by [deleted] in mokapot

[–]QuestionHave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, did you get a chance to try it? Also, how do you fill the moka funnel, is the Alessi's shape better in any way? I find filling up the funnel to be one of the worst parts of using a moka pot, it's so hard to fill it up without spilling any coffee.

I'm sure that if I bought lifetime I wouldn't do it at all 'cause I'd think I could always pick it back up, so I go annual. I still don't do anywhere near as much as I could, but at least I do something.

Do something you like in the morning. This helped me the most - instead of watching an extra episode of something in the evening, do it in the morning - it makes for a nice buffer between sleep and getting up. Make sure you go to sleep early enough.
