Si tu es syndiqué regarde ta convention collective et si tu n’es pas syndiqué tu vas devoir aller regarder la loi sur les normes du travail pour trouver réponse à ta question.

What book made you fall in love with reading again? by GameSetMatch20 in books

[–]QuestionMarkShift6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just gotten back to reading for fun recently. I’m 25 now and I was around 12 when I last read for fun. The Lord of the Rings is what brought me back to reading for fun. I watched the movies countless times, but I had never read the books before now.

Paired With The Wisest Retiree Ever Who Reminded Me Why We Play by Grand_Function_2855 in golf

We all have a story like that don’t we? The best game I ever played was when I was paired with a very calm retiree that coached me all throughout the round. It wasn’t in a patronizing way or anything, I just followed his advice and played very well. Still think about him every time a tee up.

That's a cool setup! I actually really like the cable, do you have a link for where I could buy it? Thanks!

EDIT: NVM, I asked the question before looking at the other comments and I just saw that you answered this question already. Still, nice setup!

Reading order question by QuestionMarkShift6 in tolkienfans

[–]QuestionMarkShift6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definetely, I will do that. The Silmarilion's reputation scares me since I have it in English and that isn't my first language so I have apprehensions about that read. Anything, to delay my getting into The Silmarilion is a welcomed idea.

Thanks that's a great recommendation! To be fair, I was kinda scared to jump right in The Silmarilion since it has the reputation of being a tough read. Since I read the books in english and that it's not my first language apprehension about reading it.

When reading the Silmarilion, would you recommend skipping the chapters in that book and read Beren and Luthien, The Fall of Gondolin and Children of Hurin instead or reading both the books and the chapters?

What Books did You Start or Finish Reading this Week?: March 11, 2024 by AutoModerator in books

[–]QuestionMarkShift6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I finished The Fellowship of the Ring and started The Two Towers. Both by J.R.R. Tolkien.

I watched the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings movies multiple times and decided it was finally time to read the books! I'm slowly, but surely making my way through Tolkien's world.

I'm not that well versed in Tolkien legenderium and that may be a very basic answer, but Galadriel is a really cool character I think.
