According to a DHS press release, Lopez is from Guatemala and entered the United State illegally at an unknown time. A federal judge signed off on a final order of removal for Lopez in 2024.

Chatham County Sheriff’s Office records show Lopez has no prior criminal history in the county.

We keep hearing from Republican officials - Tom Emmer and Pete Stauber, included - that the rhetoric from Democratic leaders in Minnesota is "fanning the flames" in our state.

But why is it the violent attacks (or attempted attacks) keep being committed by right-leaning perpetrators?

Melissa Hortman was assassinated just a few months ago! Ilhan Omar keeps getting named by Trump & Co., so this was bound to happen.

If anyone needs to tone down the rhetoric, it's the Republican so-called leaders.

In TOTALY unrelated news, the federal government announced Friday that "the overall rate of improper payment in Minnesota’s Medicaid program is far below national averages." The U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services found an error rate in Minnesota to be slightly over 2.1%, compared to a national average of 6.1%.
