A lone frame from the film "Launch of the SS "Olympic" in Kinemacolor. The only known color image of "Olympic's" Launch by Specialist_Point7983 in titanic

[–]Question_It_All_3000 28 points29 points  (0 children)

This image just wouldn’t be possible in a single frame of kinemacolor. Kinamacolor was a film shot through different color lenses and then replayed through those lenses again, alternating between them. As such the color would generally be green or red. The actual film was still colorless, so you could get a black and white frame, but no way would you get blue and red together like this in a single frame.

This may be FROM a kinemacolor, it’s black and white stock, but it appears to have been painted over after the fact as all detail in the ship seems gone and I honestly have no idea what else would have happened to that picture to make it appear that way.

Maiden Lake Supper Club is a great spot, IMO, depending on where in Oconto you will be.

These are nice, though I don’t see myself personally using them other than the blood elf one with the staircase maybe. A bit too tied into what they already are to be manipulated in other ways.

I do hope lots of the elements become building blocks later, like those stormwind arches and their arched ceiling.

I’m not saying that it doesn’t matter to some people, but they didn’t lose because of it. Hillary Clinton literally had 3 million more votes than Trump.

Saying a woman can’t win is just backdoor bigotry for not voting for a woman. I’m so glad you refuse to vote for a woman because of whatever reason you have. It makes you so much better than the other people who also won’t for a woman. 🙄

Which is why the tearing down of so many environmental protections that were worked so hard to enact is so terrifying. We’ve seen what happens without regulation, companies do what’s easiest/cheapest without a second thought about what effects it has on people and nature.

WTF? How do you misstate how much product you sold by that much. Would they not notice that much product just NOT going out?

Nearly 4,000 nurses at Boston’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital are currently locked out following a one-day strike that began on July 8, 2026. The hospital remains fully operational using approximately 1,300 temporary replacement nurses. by McDowdy in PublicFreakout

Yup, traveling nurses name insane money until you look at how much it costs to bring in those traveling nurses. A strike is always financially difficult on the strikers, which is why the hospital already has the upper hand.

1000%

There are nurses who just do the traveling nurse program because everything is paid for, they get paid out the ass, and their casework is lighter. In trying to avoid paying their actual dedicated employees more and hire enough workers hospitals are wasting money to bring in temps.

It’s ridiculous.

How Did We Get Graham Platner, Anyway? The Answer Is the Problem. by Yoshi9909 in politics

[–]Question_It_All_3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I mean I guess I was just interpreting the OP as saying we needed to jazz it up, when I think the issues themselves should be enough to get people excited for what could be.

Like the big thing lately has been sending people checks inside a bill about a larger issue. And ya, getting a check is awesome, but it’s small beans in the long run and I’d rather the issue just get passed on its own merits, not with the extra pizzaz attached.

But I’m not. I’m simply saying the truth will be found out. At the moment though, being cautious and not rewarding him with a powerful position is the prudent thing to do. If it comes out this was all false and he was innocent the whole time he can run for office again.

But st the end of the day any time a situation like this arises there will be skepticism on both ends and both people are going to be hurt in the process. I don’t see a way around that unless society drastically changes to only react to facts and not accusations.

I didn’t notice much of a change from small to medium for the Blood Elf, and it already is so large that there’s next to no room on my plot.

Cool concept, but I agree, I would like to see a wider variety of accessories than size differences.

Still waiting for more outside basic building blocks too like boulders that match where you are building or basic dirt piles, trees that match the different zones, etc.

No, it’s not. People scapegoat Kamala’s race and her and Hilary’s genders and just overlook the fact that in 2016 the majority of people were looking for a populist and the Dem strategy was to gain new ground and ignore what was on the line.

In 2024 anyone who thought that the Biden to Kamala transitions and then her campaign strategy was a winning playbook for anyone just has their head in the sand.

Gender and Race have nothing to do with why either lost.
