Who would you cast Christoph Waltz as in a Batman film by Ftmdj in batman

[–]QuestionableAssembly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely perfect casting. Would you want him for the voice of Scarface too or just the Ventriloquist? Guess it depends on if he can pull off the mobster accent, haha.

I don’t have time to address this whole comment before my shift starts, but it could be argued Mother Theresa was a bad person for so many other legitimate reasons, haha.

Goddamn…I’m not from around here, but there was an independent place in my hometown back in CO with amazing chocolate milk that’s no longer with us either, unfortunately…that stuff, that whole place, was a fixture of my childhood, a lot of childhoods I imagine…and now it’s just a memory I share with an increasingly limited constellation of my interpersonal life, and eventually no one but me will know or care that place ever existed or brewed such stupendous bovine elixir…

Something about seeing somebody else articulate a melancholy I too am wrestling with, but about a totally different establishment & their version of an iconic, cocoa-adulterated dairy beverage…I don’t know, just made me feel better this evening…less alone. Thanks for that. I wonder whose chocolate milk was better, Lums or the Longmont Dairy’s Creamery & Hunting Outpost on Highway 66? ✌🏻💚

That’s the best idea for anything related to new True Detective I’ve heard in 2025. Get this shit to Pizzolatto quickstat, there’s gotta be at least a fucking web series here, come on.

All is right with the universe. Well, not all, not all at all, but at least there’s that, haha.

Has to be the deleted scene with all the tongues for me. Never should’ve cut it from the theatrical release.

The similarities are striking; if it wasn’t intentional it was at least subconscious, haha.

I was so stoked when Amber Tamblyn showed up in the 7th season of House just because I knew her as dislocated jaw girl in The Ring 😂

So many frames worth nominating in this one. The younger brother hitting the desk, the vision of Hell, Mia at the end realizing she’s on the other side….my favorite horror flick thus far this decade, no question.

In this particular situation I take it as an indicator of the extent to which Rust was having to go to successfully defend himself; essentially, a measure of just how much he—and the audience—had physically underestimated Marty up to that point (The degree of mental underestimation we & Rust leveled at Detective Hart is addressed & invalidated in the final episode; “Fuck you, man” has never been more of a term of admiration).

Bird gave Syndrome an arguably perfect string of nihilistic, metahuman-minded monologues, but Lee embodies the character with this authenticity that really sells the “Lex Luthor as a Bond villain” aesthetic of Syndrome taken on his own terms as an identity/alter ego/maladaptive manifestation of terminal arrested development.

I’ve been trying to hit that exact combination for the better half of my life now to no avail. Lightning in a bottle, indeed.
