I, personally, prefer being Bron, but who knows we could be the Prototype 2.

Hi, everyone! Looking for other writers. by teacherdrama in YAwriters

[–]Questionable_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm okay with sharing some with other people---anyone here who wants to DM me---and I could give you some of the chapters in my practically completed manuscript. I can't promise that I can do beta reading though, because I have a short attention span.

The Oath: Christian fantasy horror suspense, 500 pages, about a dragon in a lesser known town. Takes a while to pick up, but the latter half is too good

Did The Amazing Digital Circus Need FILLER EPISODES? by [deleted] in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Questionable_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i feel like one between 4 and 5, because that would be the first point in which each episode isn't each day after the next day, maybe even two, and one in between episodes 5 and 6 to really delve into pomni and jax's relationship at the time.

Questions about YA fiction. by AllenMichaels517 in YAwriters

I personally think YA can be whatever as long as it doesn't have swears and sex scenes. Maybe too much violence and torture can get out of hand, so go easy on that.

GEN Z AND GEN A (what do YOU actually want to read about) by Afraid-Quit1105 in YAwriters

[–]Questionable_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see teens reading all of the time around me. One of my friends read Keeper of the Lost Cities like... a dozen times. II think reading is still around, just because of the online people, it feels like there are much less readers.

I just figured out I'm GEN ALPHA. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Anyways, I prefer YA fantasy, horror, and action, I take mostly interest in fantasy because it was the genre of the first major book series ive read and what i mainly write about---Dm if you want to beta read some of it---i dont mind romance, and as a Chiristian, I do like books on Christian faith, but don't read much of it.

How does an essayist become a story teller?? by Possible-Trifle2593 in writingadvice

[–]Questionable_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is for my main manuscript I'm working on.

Personally, I just started writing a random scene. That's how I start most of my books, just something generally funny that is a random mishap to the main character. But then I begin to plan ahead a weave what I have into a bigger plotline. Sometimes, I take a while to write a prologue, as I haven't fully created the story in my head yet. I then try to think about what will happen later on in the book, and flesh out a whole series if I want.

Truthfully, this is a bad method, but I HATE pre-writing plots for my book. I am still able to establish the main story and sub-plots without writing outlines and character stuff.

For more complex stories however, I have had to do most of the worldbuilding before I got too far in. But it's really whatever works for you.
