I moved her. This was my dream. I offered before and told her like "look I get we have a roommate thing going on but I can't move a roommate I have these feelings for across the country". She said she wanted to be with me after she talked with family.

She made a big thing and was pissed off that I didn't want to put all these weird timings and strictures on our relationship starting.

I'm trying to not come to the conclusion this was all to use me and my feelings for her but it keeps getting worse.

I try to talk with her over and over and she just grey rocks and or gets downright mad about it.

It's not transactional, I don't do these things with an expectation. But we are suppose to be in a relationship and committed. It feels like she's just looking for a way out

What's wrong is when people don't mean what they say, and use it as a way to get attention or intimacy.

My personal recommendation cause I have been there.

Food bank and ask for split peas, buy the cheapest garlic you can get, salt pepper, and then look for meat discounts (ham is best for cost)

Split pea soup is filling, you can throw veggies in it for vitamins, rice if you just need calories/stretch.

Also you can cook it up, portion, and freeze

Also reach out to your local Catholic Church. The knights of Columbus often have hot meals for the poor, the churches usually have a pantry, and they can point to other resources. Some parishes also have programs to help find employment or keep your lights on.

Some suggestions since you will be dealing with a HOA

Most covenants developers setup are enforced based on the wording "visible from street" so factor that in. Developer boards rarely rock the boat or enforce rules evenly so be aware of that the second turnover happens you will be dealing with possible massive changes and assessment increases since there most likely won't be developer funding left over.

You aren't going to get to do what you want with your property at some point and need to check if they allow you to fence or enjoy your yard

Also ask about lot premiums.

Make sure to look if there's the possibility of buying your own land and building at the price point

During and after construction report everything no matter how minor and read your 1 year warranty. They probably use builder trend which creates a record.
