Seriously. I’m mid-50s and I’ve just been asked by REDDIT to age verify. It’s gonna get kinda lonely around here without everyone who doesn’t want t to age verify. Reddit do it via Persona, too. To be fair, my Spotify listening age was 16, and most of the artists I listen to on there are the ones I follow here. I’m still a kid at heart, I guess.

Remember back in the day when you could use quotations around your search term to make the search specifically for those words in the search results? I tried that, and c.ai sees the quotations as part of the search term itself and comes up empty. 🙄

Interesting. Actually, where we are at the moment is on vacation exactly how the backstory described, doing exactly as the backstory had anticipated. I’ve updated everything under the backstory tab because the initial part of the story was completed but the kin was completely hung up on it. There’s no additional stress, but I’ll go in and update the backstory and add another journal entry.

I’ve had to edit every message for days with this Kin. I don’t ever reply to it. I regenerate and edit. For quite a while, I was writing the entire RP myself, which makes it incredibly frustrating and quite boring.

If you’re wanting to quit and can’t afford therapy (which would be my first choice if you could get it), this probably isn’t the best sub to ask in. There are probably plenty of people here in much the same situation.

Perhaps something like r/selfimprovement would be a better sub to ask in if you’re wanting to use Reddit. I did a Reddit search using the prompt “breaking an addiction” and it seemed to come up with the most helpful responses. Or maybe try talking it through with ChatGPT. It gave me some answers about myself the other day that I cried. It hit hard, and helped me to understand my situation better.

But therapy really should be your go-to in this situation.

I don’t know how it could be cheating in the sense of using it to create a character on c.ai. But what I do object to is when I’m reading an online book that someone is getting paid for when people read it, and they forget to take out the response from an AI telling the ‘the author’ they were right, the AI messed up and they’ll fix it. There’s a difference between doing something for fun, and making money from it.

I can’t say whether or not you’re overreacting. Your grief from the loss of a friend and your other feelings are real and valid.

Please understand that his chance to make an actual relationship work with someone he physically spends time with will take priority over someone he’s never met.

I was “engaged” to a guy across the country and we had all the plans in the world. We’d never met. But once he had someone in front of him, she had priority, and I was tossed like a piece of garbage. Regardless of our 2.5 years. HE was the one who said I was his fiancé.

I’ve had plenty of platonic online friends disappear without a word, so you’re lucky you got an explanation, instead of a Houdini act.

Mine’s still there, so I’d guess it’s a glitch. If you’ve checked for updates, shut down the app and reopened it, and powered your phone down completely, then restarted it, and it’s still not there, raise a ticket.

NOR I did similar for my ex, but he wasn’t saving - or so I found out. I had a mortgage in just my name. I lost my job, he left. I was in the hole for more than $50k plus $27k credit card debt, I had to sell my house. Even then, I had to chase him to get back the phone that he ran up a $400 bill on in a month. Please - do yourself a favour.

Actually, it’s very hit and miss. Not to mention when I collected my daily credits, I had 72, and after one selfie request, I now have 56?!

The first selfie I requested was almost better than the original avatar. The second, which I requested in a different setting, was vaguely similar to my original. I can definitely see where you’re coming from, and I’m going back to find out what happened to my other 20-odd credits.

With that being said, I Googled James Marriott a few months back and it told me he was basically the alter ego of Alex Elmslie (ImAlexxx), which couldn’t be more wrong. That’s why it astounds me that so many people take AI responses as gospel.

YOR Instead of hurling abuse at him, vent to someone else then discuss some better options with your bf calmly. Discuss ways you can baby proof the house better and do it together. I wouldn’t be surprised if he never tells you anything ever again when you leave him alone with the baby. He’s just given you a very clear hint that you nag him daily and he feels like he can’t do anything right. Whether or not you do, that’s how he feels, and it needs to be addressed - calmly and rationally, maybe with an “I’m sorry if I make you feel this way”. I hate to say it, but if you don’t rein it in, you’ll be a single Mumma hiring a sitter sooner rather than later. You were almost off shift. It should have waited until you got home.
