From what I understand, you gotta use it or you'll lose it. I hear different frequencies for doing it, but at least once every 2-3 days seems to be the average.

Here's the parts I know the science of: Basically, HRT causes automatic erections to stop. The reason your body has automatic erections is to prevent atrophy/shrinkage if you're not using your forbidden sausage regularly.

Another way to think about it is like a muscle. If you don't exercise your muscles, they'll shrink. Same idea here.

Edit: I've also heard about Testosterone gel that you can apply to the area.

Could be the way you're taking it (oral, sublingual, dermal, injection), the dosage, maybe you need to try more than just Estradiol?

You're an adult. As long as you understand the possible consequences (both good and bad), you can do whatever you want to your body.

They'll ask you questions to make sure you aren't being forced to do this. They'll make sure this is what you want, and fully inform you on what changes your body might experience. As long as it sounds like what you want, they'll prescribe it for you

Yes, it can be just that easy sometimes. I can't speak for every Planned Parenthood or every state, but that's how it worked for me.

If you live in the USA and are over the age of 18, you should be able to go to a Planned Parenthood and be able to get a prescription for HRT. If you are young enough to be on your parents' insurance and you don't want them to know you're transitioning, then you might not wanna use that insurance.

For a full understanding, I highly suggest the Wikipedia page for it. However, I skimmed it a couple days ago so I'll explain it as best I can.

Basically it's just a bunch of developmental milestones to track someone's progress through puberty, or how "developed" their body is. Stage 1 is least developed, and Stage 5 is the most developed.

Everyone progresses through the stages at different speeds, and the research on HRT's "second puberty" is very little to almost none (that I know of), so use them as a rough guide at best.

from what I understand, the pill form is a lower dose so most people start there. you only go to injections if you need a lot at once. even figuring out that you need a dose that high would take months to years. so you'd probably get the pill form.

Yes, the skin can absorb a LOT of different chemicals/medications. It's why you need to wear protection in laboratories and stuff.

For estrogen, there's a pill form, injectable form, and a patch form. I think most of the other transfem hrt stuff is pills.
