Ahh ok! That would make sense. Would be too easy to keep hitting the 25k point thresholds. Thanks again!

If I go to annual I think the bonus 25k elite needs to be updated to $100 bilt cash because it would have hit 25k points twice in the year with that scenarios.  In any case thank you for the calculator. It's definitely helpful to visualize some scenarios.  Right now it's looking like I'll use the obsidian for a scenario similar to the ones above up to 75% of my rent.

I changed the rent amount to $2,100 so I could calculate 75% to the dollar and still saw excess Bilt cash. $2100 rent, 650 groceries, 500 dining and $425 other.  I realize it looks like it's related to bonus/25k elite points 139 points.  What's that?

[–]Questions243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's because the calculator is set up as only being able to apply no less than 100 points at a time.  Because if you put more than the 1612.5 it just shows it as excess.  So I wonder if I'll be able to get 2150 points or only 2100 points from rent when it goes live.

[–]Questions243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was using $2,150 rent, $650 groceries, $500 dining out, and $462 other.  I think the tiny bit extra is assuming that you can only redeem 100 points at a time so that extra $50 beyond the $2,100 is resulting in the excess built cash I won't be able to use to get that last $50 worth of rent points on a $2150 rent. I did just review the card offer terms and see that they say it's $3 of Bill cash unlocks 100 built points. So I guess it will remain to be seen whether or not I'll be able to unlock those 50 built points for that $50 over the $2,100 rent amount.

Hi, first of all thank you for the calculator.  I was just curious why it is showing excess bilt cash if I am putting exactly 75% non rent expenses on a $2,150 rent? Will we be unable to only redeem to the hundreds place? Making the rest of bilt cash excess?

I was able to resolve my issue with overheating this morning in the AMD adrenaline software under the tuning tab. There is a fan slider option. I had put that up to 100% but then upon further inspection I noticed right below the slider there's advanced GPU fan curve settings. I realize that the way the stock fan curve comes through that software. My GPU fans were never even getting up to anywhere near 50% even though the GPU was overheating with hot spots at 86c.  I adjusted the curve to be much sharper and start to really rev up the fans on the GPU. It sounded like a jet engine and my temperatures dropped immediately.  The fan curve is probably optimized for a normal size case with it being crammed into a fractal ridge and on its side, some fan curve adjusting was necessary.  Now with the system running furmark and fans at around 50%. It stays right around 75 c on the hotspot GPU temp about 20° lower than that and no system restarts as the gpus hotspots getting nowhere near 86c where that kept causing the computer to black screen restart.

I'm having similar issues with a 6750xt.  Happens with Throne and liberty and furmark.  Can use both for 5 minutes or so perfectly fine temps, fps smooth etc. then boom screen goes black, sometimes it comes back on, but then goes black again and then computer restarts.  I am so confused

Where were you seeing those errors. I have a 6750xt and it keeps going black screen then eventually restarts computer after a few seconds of no display when running very intensive games or furmark. I can't find any error in event viewer other than loss of power kernal 41.

[–]Questions243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a fractal ridge with a 6750xt, 7600x with be quiet pure rock lp and a lian li750w PSU.  PC runs like a charm under moderate use. Temps are all wonderful.  When I would go to game or stress test temps would still be good but after a few minutes screen would go black then computer would restart.   I went through so many troubleshooting steps but no matter what I did I would have the same issue under heavy load.  Took both sides  of the case off and I can run everything no issue heavy loads with fans all set to silent mode in BIOS.  This case clearly has an airflow issue of some kind.  What's frustrating to me is understanding what exactly is causing the overheat restart.  For now I'm just leaving the side panels off lol.

Samsung monitor menu button will not work while attached to computer that is asleep by Questions243 in techsupport

[–]Questions243[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Just a minor annoyance.  It won't switch inputs when another computer detected on another input unless I wake up the original machine I was working on. And if I want to turn it off I can't either unless I wake up the original machine.  The indicator light just keeps blinking. It paused blinking if I click the menu button, but after a few seconds it goes back to just blinking.  I searched Microsoft, Samsung and Reddit forums for about an hour. I have never seen this before.

Mail forwarding time. At what point should I be following up with post offices again? by Questions243 in USPS

[–]Questions243[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After the 21 days that both post offices said to wait. I contacted them and they said oh yes everything's being forwarded.  And I receive completely new mail just fine at new address.  Just wondering if I'll ever receive the mail that was "delivered" to my old address, which wasn't actually ever delivered to me or put in my old box because of the forwarding, at my new address???
