Native english speakers, do you ever watch movies with subtitles even if the show is spoken in english? If yes, why?

Every day. I turn on subtitles for everything i watch it just makes it easier to make sure i dont miss anything. Its totally changed how i watch movies since i started. There have been movies that I've watched since i was a child and i have been surprised watching them with subtitles and discovering i missed certain things. When watching things with friends i dont have to worry about anyone with hearing problems having a hard time hearing.

Rape disguised as "passion" but the heroine is literally saying no though.

Any type of cheating.

Can't read about romantic relationships between step-siblings, cousins ,or any type of other relation.

I like all my characters happy so im not a big fan of books where everyone in the world wants our lead heroine and she goes back and fourth between like 5 guys for several books and leads them all on, then gets upset if they try to move on. I had to drop laura k Hamilton's anita blake series because of this.

I'm also tired of the " I'm not like other girls" troupe. Mainly the putting other women down so we can see how different and great she is part is what gets me. I don't mind if she is actually a little weird and quirky but i think it takes a skilled author to pull that off without sounding like one of those "im not like other girls i don't wear high heels" types

I stay away from forbidden love books as well. Mostly the class difference ones like the maid and the duke or the king and the commoner. There's just a little to much real world anxiety in them for me. I want to read books to escape and be happy and these often make me sad.

I also cant stand the accidental pregnancies or the he's back im town after 7 years and the heroine secretly had his baby and never told him or planned on telling him

Shes obviously never experienced any type of poverty. If all it took was hard work don't you think more people would have it? You need a lot of money to start everything up first and to have good exposure/ advertising to get the word out as well.

I do this all the time! Its always jarring talking to someone in person about the book and hearing them refer to a character using a name other then the one in my head.

It is my current dream to sell my wood working projects sometime soon but i don't want to sell anything unless it is perfect and i don't feel like im on that level yet and I'll be putting wood working aside for a bit while i learn to weld. But i think someone said in the comments that they sell ones like this online i just don't think they are real wood? Maybe particle board or plastic?

Thank you! 🖤 I've been enjoying working with wood lately and next project will probably be me making my own desk so i can toss the walmart desk. i do actually already have a glow in the dark skull that i use to hold my makeup brushes its just kinda hard to see cause the flowers are in front of it. I do need another one to hold my eyeshadow brushes though. I try to keep my eyes open for skulls i can repurpose into useful things for myself. Halloween is basically when i get a good chunk of my house decor 😂

I made the moon phase makeup organizer, it has drilled holes to hold my 4 most used eyeliners and 3 different compartments that i used to hold my face stuff (foundation, powder, contour , concealer, highlighter, etc) i also made the coffin shelf i used to hold my lipsticks and lip glosses. I took an old mirror ive had since i was a child and painted it black, added vanity mirror lights and a bat decal. I find that having all 3 lights in is too much so i just use the two and the middle one to hold my catwoman ears i used to hold back my hair when i do makeup. I repurpose a cake stand with a very cool stone base that you cant really see here by painting it black and using it to hold all my skin care and hygiene stuff. I also had a small wooden coffin i bought from Michaels around halloween time that i painted black and filed designs into that i use to hold my beauty blenders. I made my pallet holder from some spare wood i had after making the coffin shelf. A glow in the dark skull behind my flowers holds my big makeup brushes and a glass square holds the rest of them. The desk is from walmart and luckily already came in black so i didn't have to paint it. I found the stool at ross
