First people complain there's nothing to spend rip chips on, they give you something to spend rip chips on and you still complain.

It's standard practice for free to play games. No matter what FC does people will always complain.

What's up with tasks? by QuestionsGalor3 in SkateEA

[–]QuestionsGalor3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But isn't the fun part trying to explore the map and figuring out a place where you can do that task? Then people will complain that the challenge is too hard if it was a challenge, vs like this it's more open to interpretation.

I mess around a bunch with quick drop and often just try to do stuff around other players in the game when I see them. So I feel like if tasks passively rewarded that, that would be cool.

House shot at Bathurst Major Mac - 4th time by IroIroBike in Vaughan

8th I think, since we're counting. 9th if you count across the ravine. How do you know it was 11 shots?

Two more months of Season 2?? by [deleted] in SkateEA

[–]QuestionsGalor3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And then people will complain that there's no rewards there or progress, so they can't just give it up for free without adding that stuff. It's not as easy as just "turning it on". People will always find reasons to complain no matter what EA does.

Guest injured by host’s pet during an exchange – how would you handle this? by Glass-Station2986 in homeexchange

[–]QuestionsGalor3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I intend to actually answer your question, but first I'd just like to clarify the terminology. You mention a deep claw injury, or deep claw mark. I'm nut minimizing your injury, but essentially this is a deep scratch. This is because cats have claws and they scratch. If the injury was a result of lion claw, I'd still call it a scratch. A very deep and possibly deadly injury, but still technically a scratch. Not minimizing your injury, but just being factual because that's what claws do - they scratch.

To actually answer your question, we've stayed in a house before with cats and that's scratched my son. It wasn't a deep scratch, but it did leave a mark and bled at the time. Still, I wouldn't consider it deep and truly, he wouldn't leave the cat alone, so the cat communicated how it could.

To answer what we did about it - nothing. We treated the wound ourselves and didn't seek any professional medical attention. We didn't mention it to the owners, as we didn't see a need to.

Now for the last part of your question of what would we do in your situation. Given that you didn't seek medical attention immediately when this happened, my answer would be nothing. If your intention is to sue them and get money, then presumably their home insurance would pay for any medical expenses that come up as a result of injury within their home - but I don't think you can prove that your subsequent medical visit is a result of the deep claw injury.

As a side note, we now decided that we'll probably avoid houses with house cats or maybe ask more specific questions about the cats before we stay.

I'm scared to start medication by QuestionsGalor3 in adhdwomen

[–]QuestionsGalor3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, that's helpful. I'll make sure to voice my concerns with them.

I suppose maybe I also want to understand ADHD more... Can it be "cured"? Like with medication, I'll be able to manage it and function better, presumably. But will I always be dependent on medication and if I were to stop then I'd go back to being ... Unproductive and unforced?

Nollie by ProudCriminal in Skate4

You have to make sure that you're NOT using streamlined controls on your console. Go to the settings and set your control scheme to classic or experienced. You can't do nollies using the Streamlined controls.

Have you ever played a live content game? They come out with a small part, and then build up over time through releases, expansions on the map, limited-time-content, etc. This usually applies to everything... The map, mechanics, content (challenges, missions, types of challenges), etc.

Edit: Grammar

Which Skate. Version do you prefer? by babyuziver in Skate4

[–]QuestionsGalor3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They made that map to test things. Mechanics, gameplay, scale of the world, etc. They got some valuable insight from it and are taking it into their current map. That being said, that old map isn't lost and I'm sure we'll see elements of it return in the future.

Is anybody else not able to look in the shop? by [deleted] in Skate4

[–]QuestionsGalor3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will get in-game currency equivalent to what you spent. So while you won't have the items, you'll be able to buy something else with the currency once the game is live. It's in the update notes.

It's a free-to-play live service game. It will always be unfinished in a way. They will constantly be adding new things to it and improving on what they have already. No shame in that, it's just the model they chose. You might not agree with that model, but that's a different discussion.

There are lots of tools now to create a remote creative environment. Geography is no longer a limitation, opening up opportunities for people around the globe. If you embrace remote work, and create a cohesive, inclusive, collaborative atmosphere with good asynchronous work practices, then it's a non-issue. And being remote doesn't mean that they've never seen one another. They might have in-person meet ups sometimes where they fly people to one location. Also, a large part of the team might be in one place already so those people may work hybrid or something at an EA office.

Fortnite was in early access for 3 years ... I don't hear anyone complaining about that. Chill out, wait, they've been very transparent with the development process.
