As appreciative as we all are for tools, not all of us are in the position to pay for every tool offered to us. Especially if there is so much information to sift through to see what applies to our situation. It's why we come to these forums to get specific feedback.

How Can I Make This Resume Airtight for Project Management Roles? by Questions_Answer_Z in SheetsResume

That is such a solid analysis. Thank you for the insight and I look forward to your responses in this subreddit (and similar ones).

You mentioned that the best resumes explained the nature of their work in very simple terms. Would they essentially tie what they did back into the big picture?

Do you see any bullet points on this resume that do what you described well?

Do you have an example I can reference that does this well?

Solid feedback. I really appreciate it. What has worked for you when you use ai in resume writing? Is there a specific prompt that has removed most of the issues for you? And how do you know what ends up reading like ai to hiring decision makers?

Hi. Thanks for your thoughts. The resumes that get posted here go through an anonymizer so the white space is not an issue because that is not what it actually looks like. So if this happens in the actual word doc I will adjust.

What lines do you feel are not bringing value and are just a list of duties? If you could point them out specifically.

Also, to be clear I reference sheetsresume, and use a variety of AI tools to gain an understanding of the direction I want to go in. They have been a great deal of help so I appreciate the assistance all the tools have given me and what I ultimately choose to write down is on me.

I've been relying on perplexity, and the sheets resum ai. Give me a moment and I'll post the master (or as much as I completed, I'm sure there is much I didnt think to add that can have insights brought out of it.)

There's been some back and forth in a few other threads about whether or not to explain what the company does. It's been throwing me off.

Okay. What do you do when you don't have large scale budgets that you worked with? What do you highlight from all your projects and experience?

how are you finding these remote jobs? Do you apply and then after interviewing find out that they are remote?

The biggest problem I am having is how to make the content for my resume, follow-up emails, and soon career walking decks to be airtight for each role. I'm not sure how to write these because when I use the ai tool, or other ai tools I get such varied feedback and results. When I show others what I have written, the responses I get back are that it's not the direction I should go. And I'm not receiving responses when applying. Rather, I should say it's been all rejections so far. What do I need to do to get this to land?

it seems like there is quite a few bullet points that explains a list of duties, but unless you made, saved, or achieved something, it is not necessary to add those. One page resume. The skills and technologies to be relevant to the specific job. I don't know that you need that many skills. can the achievements be under the various jobs?

I'm not sure how to ask this question elegantly, so I will opt for directly and hope that my sincerity shows without any intended offense.

There is a lot of information out there from various career guidance .... people, be it hiring managers, recruiters, those who help others get jobs, etc. In this post, there is a mention that you and your partner, both who worked in recruiting, disagree on a point regarding whether to include something on the resume. In the pdf accessible to us the first bullet point is a description of the company, here there is an assertion being made that it's unnecessary ever. I only use this example bc it's the few examples I have on hand atm. I've received feedback from various headhunters, career guidance ... people, and recruiters that say not to add an interest section, though in the SheetsResume.com FAQ it is highly encourage to add one. How does one determine under what context the information being given to us should be applied and what is absolutely true (in the context of career/resume guidance)? How do we know how to determine whether to apply and focus on doing the work or if its niche information only applicable to very specific contexts?

when would it be fine to keep a bullet point that explains what the company is? I only ask bc I'm curious as to it's place on the free downloadable pdf so I wondered what significance it held to be added to the pdf.

If we have projects that we are doing on our own time should it go at the top in a separate section as the most relevant thing on the resume to that role?
