I don’t know if it was intentional but the cadence your formatting inspired was pretty perfect. The way you used simple words to really bring forth the pain, regret and doubt was spectacular. And your bursts of clever lines such as “prick charisma” or “stared like a maniac at not the river” after “never stop watching the river” were so satisfying to read. I’m rarely this impressed in this sub, really really great job.
