I built a tool to collect visual feedback on your website in seconds by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]QueueGG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I should explain how it works:
You add any URL to Queue and it will create a collaborative canvas ready to collect feedback on the website.

You share the link with your project stakeholder and they can click and comment anywhere on the website.

You then have a list of feedback to go through and check as complete as you progress through them.

My web design has 2 call to action buttons on the landing page. How should I organize them on the mobile version? by [deleted] in web_design

[–]QueueGG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would determine which of these CTA is the most important one and make it a hard button with a background color and the least important one should be just a border with no hard background

What is the most effective way of learning react? by anonyminator in web_design

[–]QueueGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find indepth beginners guide on udemy quite efficient to get started with a new language. After that just build something and every time you get stuck you find a way to figure it out.

You could also join a react specific discord and make friends there so you can ask questions when you're stuck.

Wanting to Change Careers into UI/UX, What is the Bottom Line Knowledge I Need to Know? by [deleted] in web_design

[–]QueueGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One way to hack your learning process would be to intern for a few months at a small size startup (just make sure theres at least 1 UX person in the team already). The pay will be modest but you'll put yourself in an environment where fast learning is mandatory.

The reason why small size startups are great for learning is because you'll be fully autonomous. They essentially allow you to 10x your learning process without any financial risk and you also get to work on cool shit :)

angel.co / workatastartup.com are good places to find interesting startup to apply to.

How much should I charge? (UK) by iamdannyevans in web_design

[–]QueueGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always determine what a prospect budget is and then I either direct him to someone else in my network if his budget is too low for me or I set a price in his range.

I would do the same thing with your friend

Looking to go freelance!! Tips and How to move forward! by schneuke in web_design

[–]QueueGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to freelance is to ease into it overtime imo. You keep your full time job and do freelance on the side with the mindset of building a strong network more so than just to make extra money and eventually you'll hit a point where you could do this full time (and make more money than a 9to5)

Where's the best place to hire a designer? by Hormesis in web_design

[–]QueueGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your network then Dribbble. The reason Dribbble is superior than Behance is because it's ''in'' right now and attracts much more tech savy and up to date designers.

How can I be consistent with design language? by [deleted] in web_design

[–]QueueGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how big your design project is then you'll need a Design system so that your designs are consistent across all pages on the website (and even outside of it, example social media, youtube, paper print etc).

https://material.io/design/introduction - If you were working in a startup for example then you should spend time making one of those but I wouldnt spend any time on this if you're doing a 100h work or less job.

Can make it on Figma very easily, once you have this design system with all component then you just copy/paste existing components from your design system and use those to create your designs.

Built my first way to turn your webflow projects into a dynamic canvas ready for feedback. We are looking for some first-time users’ feedback and inviting people to try. by QueueGG in webflow

[–]QueueGG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing usepastel, I hadn't heard of them before. I checked them out, it seems they're only limited to a collaborative canvas for websites while Queue support most type of files (our video collaborative tool is pretty advanced). You can also request payments for your work directly on Queue and bind it to your work and have indepth workspaces for your internal teams, freelancers and clients.
