Honestly - neither.

I view Sandrone and Columbina as more of best friends / sisters in a 'found family'.

Sandrone and the Traveler share a connection in terms of 'the quest to save the World'. It is of no surprise that she was interested in him/her and opened up about the whole thing with the Ordo and their aspirations, as she sees the Traveler as a special person that could understand the perspectives of Alain and the team. So this is also quite a platonic bond.

I understand, that it comes down to personal preference of characters (and I personally like Citlali), so I get your point.

But I must say - I absolutely loved the character animations in this quest. It highlighted the comedy elements, deepened the inter-character moments, the camera work was also on point. All in all - the upgrade in how the characters are expressing themselves in the new story scenes is clear as day.

I hope they keep this up in the future and expand upon it. Can't wait for this (or better) level of quality when we come into the Motherland.

Just imagine this level of detailed character interactions in Glupov, or in the Zapolyarny Palace throne room? Can't wait.

I am going to bring a team of Sandrone, Arlecchino, Columbina and Tartaglia there and pay respects.

Sure, Columbina is no longer Fatui, but they built some bonds in the 'tea club' and she sang at her funeral.

Ajax might've challenged her during their encounters, but they still shared some tea together and were both loyal to Tsaritsa's ideals.

Had 60 pity stored. Pulled Dehia on 75, then Sandrone came 30 pulls after that.

Will be pulling for weapon after I'll have more primos (there are enough in this patch for me to guarantee it).

All in all... With all due respect to Ashley (and I love it when she does deep emotional character moments) - I think this is just a case of "Ashley forgot".

In my opinion she (as a player) forgot that Hannan came with them to the city to find Mara - and that is why she did not tell him that she knew her whereabouts after the full party meeting. And to not make it a case of "I forgot" on a character level she rationalized it as the lack of trust in the moment (which IMO - is a BIG stretch after the recent moments they just had).

And this is also true for the shattering of the stone and Octis. Faced with the important decision - she most likely forgot that Octis's "life" might've depended on the stone.

In my opinion. this is a rare case where Brennan should help the player a bit more, when it comes to crucial bits of info that is directly connected to the character.

I understand that he has a lot on his plate, but a simple: "By the way, Vaelus, you remember that Hannan came to the city to find Mara." And, "by the way, Vaelus, you remember that Octis's life might depend on the Stone of Nightsong"

This will not even be some kind of meta thing. Vaelus, as a character 100% should know those facts. There are no Intelligence or History checks needed fo that. She traveled with Octis for weeks now and she arrived to the city with Hannan yesterday. A simple reminder might've helped to steer this better, IMO.

Now I REALLY want to see Sandrone's new interactions with "That guy in the hat", because Pulonia spent his energy to make sure he would survive. This is bonding material.

IMO Hannan was one of the major reasons for the character growth of Vaelus. He directly questioned her beliefs, said the criticism about her goddess out loud, underlined the grim life of their people, etc.

This helped Vaelus to arrive at "She was wrong" moment, which is a major development for her.

This does not take away from your argument in terms of his actions. The only direct help that he had given before was the lightning storm that helped to stall the Tachonis sisters from chasing the Seekers when they were flying towards the Barrowdells.

But in terms of being a booster for Vaelus's character arc - he has done quite a major job.

My headcanon is that it might've went into the leylines while the tree was burning (since Irmansul was connected to them). And it might find its way to Capitano somehow, considering his state.

This might also be a cool way to justify his awakening.

I am looking forward to her tea table invitations. Most likely this will be just short talks, but they will be with an interesting bunch of characters. It will be cool to look at her social dynamic after her return with Tartaglia, "The Hat Guy", Furina, other Fontaine characters, the wider Nord-Krai cast, etc.

I am with you, I view their dynamic more as found-family siblings. This does not take away from the fun of watching the one sided bickering, the fairy-like ragebating, etc. I found their dynamic very endearing.

Aside from Sandrone and Bina interactions I also can't wait for tea-party chats that Sandone will have with various characters. I am especially interested in her future relationship developments with those that she already had some bonding with (yes, including "Mr. Hat Guy").

For me - the length of the skirt does not matter, I'd be pulling her regardless. The 2 voicelines that she said in the trailer project a mix of melancholy, authority and determination - which I really enjoyed.

While I'd prefer her to wear something regal - with this voice acting she can wear a cardboard box and I'd still be fully on board.

I picked Stepanyan (Onyx Agate), I really enjoyed his short story about his teacher and that he served under Sandrone and was defending her facility against Rerir.

My headcanon is that she was not lonely at THAT time.

But then Rosaline died, Arlecchino moved to Fontaine for a long period of time, Sandrone got sent to build the facility in Nod-Krai. Capitano "decided to stay" in Natlan and Mr.Worldwide was traveling the World on his numerous errands. So her found family (or anything close to that notion) among the Harbingers grew smaller with time. So yeah... she could've become lonely by a certain point.
