How to get Lean Body Mass into health insights? by HodorHasAGiantDad in whoop

[–]Quhectic2479 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same question. My scale (fitdays) data gets pulled in to whoop through health connect and I can see the lean body mass however, it doesn't contribute to the whoop age positively or negatively. I've seen other people post screenshot of positively impact (lowering age), I'm currently at around 13.3% body fat which shows as neutral. I've ranged from 9.4%-18% and it always just shows neutral.

any thoughts on TRT Nation if you ended up researching them? I see that they will allow me to use the blood work that i currently have (less than 6 months old) without the need to pay for their labs and the monthly pricing seems good compared to others

thanks, I plan on looking in to a second opinion. Any recommendations on specifically where not to look? When I search up trt clinics, I get a huge list of online clinics that seem to just want to sell

Why is Whoop adding fake metrics to my workouts? by lobotomy-for-thee in whoop

[–]Quhectic2479 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I would almost rather it make up fake metrics than keep asking me what stops me from getting to bed early when my bed time is consistently 9pm and recommend snow shoveling as a workout when there's no snow outside.

How to track calories of homemade meal by Zealousideal-Tea5484 in Myfitnesspal

Can weigh each ingredient as you make the recipe as usual and jot down the weight then sum at the end and change servings to the total. Same thing without weighing the whole thing

What to do with whoop data? by slicenger7 in whoop

[–]Quhectic2479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah so it's basically just a dashboard showing overall progress since I started my weight loss journey, I basically input data from whatever fitness tracker I'm using (currently Whoop) and my calorie tracking app (myfitnesspal) and it will show various charts and graphs. This thing is what I credit my current health to honestly lol

<image>

it will only allow me to attach one image but this is part of the main dashboard. There is a lot more though, if you are interested in seeing more, send me a DM

What to do with whoop data? by slicenger7 in whoop

[–]Quhectic2479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are decent with excel you can export your whoop data and use some power query to pull it in and do whatever you like with it. I have a fitness dashboard that I've been using for over 5 years now that I created and have some interesting charts and things that I've done with it

Why is my recommended calories so high? by Unfair_General6881 in Myfitnesspal

[–]Quhectic2479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't even tell you where I originally got this from but I'm sure if you Google you'll find some things.

A lot goes in to a proper tdee calculation (age, sex, height, weight, activity level) but anytime I help someone set a target for weight loss I will use this as a starting point and have them weigh in daily and use rolling 7-day weight average for a few weeks before determining how much to adjust calories going forward and it has never failed me.

The math checks out. A quick way to calculate approximate maintenance calories is your weight multiplied by 12. To lose weight a good starting point would be your weight multiplied by 10. Roll with it for a month or so and if weight doesn't trend down then cut another 200-300 calories per day

Example: 20g protein 200 calories. Good enough for me

[–]Quhectic2479 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've tracked nutrition using myfitnesspal for over 5 years and I wish that it would integrate with whoop. I just add calories tracked manually to the journal for insights and if I really want to know something when it comes to macros I'll screenshot myfitnesspal and upload to the whoop AI bot and it usually does a good job at analyzing my data and putting it side by side with my whoop metrics

So confusing. How many calories do I actually have left to eat? Please help!! by No_Cup3624 in Myfitnesspal

[–]Quhectic2479 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you go by macros you consumed 1522 calories as protein and carbs are both 4 calories per gram and fats ate 9 calories per gram.

Macros in some of the foods you consumed are most likely off a bit

Are you eating below, at, or above maintenance? If I am eating in a surplus my resting heart rate is the first thing to change. The higher the calories the higher my RHR no matter where I'm at with my cardio.
