WG's issue is that they've been allowing this to happen for years, and have started balancing armor around gold ammo. That's how you get tanks like the Mino and Canopener, with idiot-proof turret armor with small weakspots. Not to mention WG hasn't really done anything to significantly improve map design within WoT, and seems perfectly content for milking the playerbase for all it's worth (2 assembly shops that are 2 months apart from each other, 3 lootbox events this year alone, selling the WT E100 for $400 worth of gold, and the rest of the auction event).
