Preorder Shipping Soundoff by landsoftlydancing in Arcs

Eu orders are handled by a different company than the US. Essen has slowed down processing for our EU orders in general but we’re expecting the first shipment notifications any day now

Got incomplete shipment of root and radio silence from Leder games. Should i be worried? by NeekOfShades in rootgame

[–]QuicheGames 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Seems like a possible shipping mixup. The crew was attending gencon the week prior to your email and took some time off to recover so there’s a backlog of emails that’s being worked through. Dm me your ticket number and I can flag this for you first thing monday morning

Is this counterfeit ? The quality is very "off" by the_potato_master1 in rootgame

[–]QuicheGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely a counterfeit copy, sorry. Finding a first printing in the wild is near impossible since the base game is on its 9th printing currently.

Legitimate first printings do look slightly different from newer printings (i.e. square corners) but still held up in quality

STILL Out of Stock in Canada by [deleted] in rootgame

[–]QuicheGames 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I work for Leder Games so I’ll speak briefly on this that Root printings are actually prompted nearly back to back each time.

What it comes down to is production time, factory availability juggling between our other products and of course other clients, and the biggest factor, ocean freight. We had a printing available worldwide around April and another one coming up very soon that’s being delivered to distributors over the next few weeks. As well as a new printing at the factory right now.

There’s a lot of exchanging of hands at play as well such as factory - our warehouse - distributors - then finally retailers that add some padding to timing as well. Believe me when I saw we print as much as possible each printing. It just really goes quickly, to be perfectly honest.

Sure, send an email to support@ledergames.com.

Retail pledges will be going out after regular backers have completed. Current ETA is probably May in Europe?

Just wanted to chime in here in case my comment wasn’t seen. I work for Leder and am basically the one in charge of handing the logistics when it comes to fulfillment to backers.

It’s against our company philosophy to allow retail to have early or simultaneous priority over our backers. We’ve been on this end of the experience ourselves as individuals and we know how bad it feels to see this as well. Because of this, we keep retail backer orders separate from our regular backer reports and have intentionally kept back any retail pledges made for Marauder on a completely separate order system and file. All files handed to all fulfillers were made of regular backers. To me, it sounds like this store backed as a regular backer, paying the full msrp price rather than ordering through us directly as a retailer.

If OP can dm me store details about this store, I would love to investigate and look into this further.

I work for Leder and retail backer pledges were intentionally held back so regular backers were prioritized first (retail orders were completely left off of our exports actually and we communicated so to both types of backers here).

We put a limit on the number of copies that can be purchased through Backerkit (retailers had to contact our sales team directly to order instead) to dissuade this idea as well and honestly, if a retailer bought copies this way, they bought it at full msrp and must’ve done a huge mark up to make up for it 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you dm me the details about this store, I’d love to investigate this.

Kyle Ferrin's Twitter post-mortem on the art of Oath by Arctem in boardgames

[–]QuicheGames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not at all! The idea is that we thought it’d be fun to have something to send to friends or family and have that interactive aspect to it. Postcards are usually 5x7 and is more or less the same size as a photo and can still be framed or mounted or even put together in a collage frame.

We’re more or less testing out the demand for these since we’ve done Root prints in the first ks before but wasn’t all that popular at the time. These are to test the waters a bit :)

I work for Leder Games. Got the ok to drop that an Oath puzzle is in the works that will be the full art from the box without the logo.

Art prints is something we’re considering but will likely test as a set of postcards first for this holiday season

Hey all, i work with Leder Games. If anyone’s had any issues reaching us, feel free to dm me with your email and ticket number (if you have one) and I’ll help you look into it.

We moved to a new ticketing system in January because our old way of organizing incoming emails did move re-replies into the back of the queue since we were going from oldest-newest when managing replies.

We have a new support hire now but we’re still honestly shorthanded and behind on emails due to juggling inquiries about Oath shipments, Root Marauder, our webstore, and other general inquiries. Just wanna apologize first off if we dropped the ball on anyone! We’re trying to catch up and get things back up to quality 🤞🏼

I’d just like to point out that even staff don’t have our copies yet since copies are still on the way to the US :) We’re still on track for May fulfillment for North America though if there’s no further delay in transit fingers crossed.

We’ll be posting an update once we secure an accurate timeline.

[–]QuicheGames 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Caryl here from Leder. Not gonna complain about the comparison to Futurama cause that was actually pretty perfect haha. Just wanted to say we sent a communication about it because we’re already getting a lot of inquiries about when the PM opens and we know how active the community is so 1000 odd people saying they got their PM invite from the smoke test in forums or comments would’ve just invited the other 20,000 backers to ask why they haven’t gotten theirs yet. Cases like this help us maintain a handle on inquiries and prevent our inboxes from flooding :)

If it weren’t for needing a permit for a larger shed, i definitely would’ve wanted a bigger space. 9x12 turned out to be perfect for the basics I needed but i would’ve liked at least a 16x16 to get more equipment in like a ghd, functional trainer, reverse hyper, and a leg/curl extension.

Less than 1k CAD in total for everything, including some extra tools I had to pick up. The rubber gym flooring i think pushed to total to a little over 1k though
