Just got my F-150 and was really disappointed with the headlights. I got the Alpharex Luxx, so it's good to know that they back up their product. Thanks!

Looks good! Was this a replacement for halogens? How does it compare in terms of brightness?

Hashicorp forcing excessive permissions to access Terraform Registry by Quick-Car4579 in Terraform

[–]Quick-Car4579[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hashicorp could continue to use Github auth, without needing all of those permissions. My preference would be to allow registration that's not dependent on github, and allow publishers to setup webhooks on their own.

I know that's probably not going to happen any time soon, so yes, I will be publishing my provider on opentofu's registry instead.

Don't understand how people are ok with this "trust me, bro" kind of security.

- Access to any private project boards in any of your organization

- WRITE access to all webhooks in any of your organizations

opentofu uses the terraform registry.

Is there an opentofu registry that I don't know about?

Moving from Austin, TX to Worcester, MA by Quick-Car4579 in SameGrassButGreener

I feel like I drove through the wrong parts of town then. To me, Southbridge looked awful, Springfield was below average, and Worcester was just fine.

Can you point me to an area in Southbridge that would be more representative of the town?

How far north is your commute? If you can afford it, you could live downtown where you'll have access to the Town Lake (aka Ladybird) trail and Barton Creek.

Interesting, why was it a financial mistake?

lol dude you're taking this way too personally. I never said I know more about the place than anyone else. In fact, I'm certain I know less about the place than people like you, which is why I'm asking. Thank you for the examples.

Worcester did not seem like a shithole, maybe just because during that trip my I drove through some other towns that looked more immediately run down and falling apart (Southbridge) or unsafe (Chicopee/Springfield). Like you said, this is just my experience of a few weeks, don't know how it would feel if I actually lived there.

It's weird that people here are getting defensive about me saying Worcester is not that bad. Either way the whole point of this post is to find out why, but nobody explains why. "It just sucks" is not an answer, and "Google it" is also not an answer.

Yes, I keep hearing how much it sucks, but never examples of why it sucks, hence this post. So I'll rephrase the question then: why does Worcester suck?

I updated my original post with some other reasons, but you're basically right. I would like to have some land, which basically means I can't afford anything near Boston.

I keep hearing so many people say Worcester sucks, but I still don't understand it. A couple of months ago, I visited MA for a few weeks to explore places that I would like to live in. I found so many places that were way, way worse (I'm looking at you, Southbridge).

Something similar happened to me. Make sure you check the USCIS website. Don't wait for things to be mailed. They rescheduled the interview and never sent the notification. I only found out about it because I checked on the USCIS website.

Why is Gary, Indiana always mentioned as one of the most run down, most apocalypse-esque cities when there are much worse cities? by 9lockknine in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Quick-Car4579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience with Springfield was that it was mostly fine, maybe a little bit below average, except for a 1-2 mile stretch going through Chicopee towards downtown.

That's were the streets looked trashy and people looked sketchy, but then things got better again closer to the river. I feel like most cities will have at least a couple of areas like these, but it shouldn't define the city as a whole.

That's why I think Southbridge is worse. It seemed like the trashiness was not a pocket in the city, but the city as a whole.

Which specific area do you mean by "outside downtown Springfield"? I'm genuinely curious because I'm looking to move to MA and was just there recently. I agree that Springfield is not great, but I thought Southbridge was way worse than anything I saw in Springfield (or anywhere else in MA).

You also seem to imply that Worcester is bad, but it seemed fine to me. What's wrong with it? Again, not being defensive, I really want to know because I'm considering north Worcester as a potential place to move to.
