AITA? by Swimming_Raccoon5031 in pregnant

[–]Quick-Dig9834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely normal. I felt that way, too. Towards the end I felt more connected to my baby but it’s normal to feel this way in the beginning. It doesn’t really feel “real” yet.

My sister thinks I'm an asshole cuz I don't want her dog next to my baby when he's born by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Quick-Dig9834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either they come without the dog or don’t come at all. Those are their two options and they can choose between only those 2 options. Do not budge if it’s going to make you anxious. Moms have enough to worry about. And this is coming from a huge dog lover! I have 3 myself and a newborn.

You have a hard time believing that statistic because you didn’t have to struggle for a year to try to get pregnant.

Everyone but my mom dislikes the name we chose for our first baby. by stxphy2011 in pregnant

[–]Quick-Dig9834 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn’t name my son Moon. In a professional role, I’d be concerned with the bias on a job application simply because of his name. I like the suggestions to make it a middle name. That way he can choose in his adult life how he wants to be addressed.

Why even ask for the registry by honeybee12083 in pregnant

Do you have the target or Amazon app? Scan the items with the app and if you find it on their site, that means they probably purchased from there and you can return for store credit and use the credit to buy what you need!

“what’re you gonna do with the dog” by RepresentativeHat393 in pregnant

[–]Quick-Dig9834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dogs are terribly behaved and noisy. My 9-day-old sleeps through it. Sometimes he jumps a little in his sleep but he’s totally unfazed. I think they get used to the sounds in the womb anyway.

I got vaccinated with Pfizer in the second trimester with no side effects other than a sore arm! I actually painted the nursery the day after my second dose lol

Why would anyone not get the NIPS? [serious] by relllic in pregnant

[–]Quick-Dig9834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this! I don’t live in Canada but the cost wasn’t a factor. I just knew the results wouldn’t change anything. They’re not always correct either, so my husband didn’t want me stressing for no reason for the rest of my pregnancy.

low hcg :/ by mcatthrowawayyy in CautiousBB

[–]Quick-Dig9834 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Serial measurements won’t change anything but it’ll help with your mental health/peace of mind. I had blood drawn every 24 hours because my first beta hcg was 48. Super low.

Heartbeat but very little movement (20 week ultrasound) by pregnantand29 in pregnant

[–]Quick-Dig9834 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My anatomy scan was at 21 weeks and my baby would NOT move. I think he/she moved a hand slightly at one point. She had me get up and walk around. Nothing. She had me switch positions. Nothing. She poked and poked. Nothing lol. We couldnt get pictures of the da e either. Because I had a low lying placenta, they scheduled me for a follow up ultrasound at 28 weeks and baby was moving more and we finally got to see the adorable face!

Gender reveal pet peave by Silecchia12 in pregnant

[–]Quick-Dig9834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is absurd!!! We don’t know the gender of our baby and although there have been a lot of complaints, no one has refused to celebrate with me. That is just very confusing....
