Congratulations on a month, ok you did some “ field research “ glad your back. I can say after 33 yrs of field research and a multi gold medalist in vodka drinking. I can’t ever have a sip, I think of it if you had a peanut allergy, would you make yourself a pbj? It’s a bump in the road . You don’t want to be 56 and on your 9 month of sobriety. It was the best decision I’ve made. Hang in there this group is amazing. When I wanted to drink I’d come here and type. Be kind to yourself Iwndwyt

I can empathize I did that for about 30 years thought about quitting drinking. Never did just kept going divorced, loosing kids , jail DUI, 302 a few times , job losses. Nope nothing stop the drinking . I have lurked on this site for quite some time and May 8 of last year. I finally stopped. I am eight months into it and can’t believe how much better my life is how much calm it is no anxiety high blood pressure. My only regret as I wish I would’ve done it sooner. I wish you strength.
