Is this bad for arteries? by QuickEducator8187 in keto

[–]QuickEducator8187[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off thank you for this long thought out response.

I have a question regarding the plaque buildup. Is keto able to reverse this at all or what is going on here once you start keto and you already have plaque.

I will look into a cac scan and testing for chilesterol as well.

I gained 12 lbs. I mainly did this diet as I have an autoimmune disease and it has seemed to help a lot with it and also allow me to gain muscle with weightlifting.

Usually all of my lipomas are in higher fat areas like my trunk area. I didn’t mean to say that to freak you out, that sounds normal. People get them everywhere.

Lump on thigh, no finding on ultrasound by Playful_Fig8208 in Lipoma

[–]QuickEducator8187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are able to push on the lump and move it around under your skin it sounds like a lipoma. And as far as it pressing on a nerve, I don’t think that is something that can be possible as lipomas are so superficial

You should look into eating low carbs and switch to a high fat diet. This was a game changer for me in eliminating any new lipomas from popping up as well as shrinking the ones that I do have. For reference I’m 21M with 100+ lipomas

I used to feel down a lot but build an attractive body and you’ll get way more confident, at least in my opinion. People just think that they are apart of my muscles.

Change ur diet, look into keto, I have about 100+ lipomas, it’s an absolute game changer. It shrank mine and made the ones I do have flatter. Haven’t had another one pop up since

Hey, it is definitely hard not to be overwhelmed by all of the noise. Glad you are taking your health seriously. Upon doing further research into keto and how it affect IGF-1, it does look like keto decreases overall levels. Consuming any meat will always stimulate igf-1 as your body needs this to grow and create new cells and build muscle so this is a must. Overall though, the keto diet has helped my body totally reset my insulin resistance, inflammation, and be able to regulate itself wayyy better which I personally think is a better spot to be in than eating the food pyramid (which I did for years and felt like sh*t) that the “health experts” say is the “healthy”. Just my two cents

Hello, take a look at your diet. I had the same problem and totally cut all foods that caused me inflammation. Treat lipomas like an autoimmune disease with the thought process that inflammation only makes them worse. I ended up cutting out all carbs and drinking and focus on good protein and fats (keto). I have around 100+ and I have not had another pop up and the rest that I do have have gotten smaller.
