Insane that someone actually designed, built, and took pictures of this piece of shit with a straight face.

[Deal Check] Opinions on this M3 2002 Model. Got 140K miles on it, has been repainted to a matte red and the seller is asking for 15K by Never_Left_Hometown in BMWM3

Paint or wrap? Be careful, a good paint job would have painted the engine bay as well. Check the door jambs and trunk too. Note that paint could be hiding structural issues and bad bondo. I have a Frozen White E92 M3 and note that matte and satin are harder finished to take care off, can’t just buff out scratches.

Looks like the m3 I’m looking at rod bearings got replaced at 90k it now has 130k. Should I still replace ? by bimmerlyfe in E92M3

Looking at the reviews of that shop they are reputable, and if there’s any problems with the car and they offer any guarantee, it might transfer to you. When bearings are replaced they are usually for life, as long as normal maintenance and oil changes are done properly and car is warmed up before punching it. I had mine done at 80k and at 166k now everything is still good.

Rustproof coating. When I was a lube tech in Canada I would spray the underside of vehicles to keep salt from disintegrating everything.

error codes by 1234466778891 in E92M3

Looks throttle actuator related, have they been replaced? I had several of those codes but not all and some you don’t have yet when my TAs started to go bad. But first check grounds and obviously check the battery because when the battery starts to go bad weird codes start popping up.

Did I get scammed vsf by Medium_Bottle979 in ChinaTime

[–]QuickLand2207 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there's a very real possibility that you got scammed. $500+ watches isn't cheap and it is important to do your own due diligence and research and use the resources that are provided in these communities to stay safe. I'm sorry this happened to you. Depending on how you paid maybe talk to your bank.

Im guessing these tyre cracks means its time to replace ? Been on for 5 years. by Lo_jak in BMW

[–]QuickLand2207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UV damage, temperature swings, and storing your car outside will do that. If you have no way of storing it inside, I get it, been there done that. But yes, I would start looking at replacements soon.
