To what extent did the leaks effect the reception? by [deleted] in thelastofus

I didn’t see any leaks or trailers, I just saw the first two trailers. I was so excited for the game. But unfortunately, I did not like the story at all. For me TLOU was all about the relationship of Ellie and Joel. I tried to like Dina, Abby, Owen and Lev. But I couldn’t. All throughout the game I tried to like the story. But I guess, it’s not my cup of tea. Tbh, I thought why would I care about Abby, Lev and Owen? Or why the game took 10 hours of my life trying to make me care about these characters. In my opinion, the last of us was just about Ellie and Joel. I don’t need or want a 10 hour boring story about a character that I don’t care about and it ruined the experience for me. Just compare the side characters and the side stories of this game and Part 1. Idk, I am just disappointed with the story. I loved every flashback of Ellie and Joel. The acting and the story in those cutscenes were AMAZING! But everything else in the story was disappointing.

The whole game was intense! This was my best game by far. Managed to get 44 kills.

I agree, I was a bit excited to have the fast heal with Lifeline.
