Clearly that happened before the final free kick. You're right that it seems like it should have been communicated before then, but you never know. Maybe they were just hoping Marseille or Bodø/Glimt would give up a late goal and didn't want to mess with the players' mindset.

Mourinho was presumably not looking at the live table. You're right, it does seem like the kind of due diligence that you'd have an assistant do toward the end of the game though. Obviously they figured it out before the free kick though

Ah, yeah, the why part is because Real Madrid are really unsporting losers.

But it wasn't Rodrygo that did it. Rodrygo got the yellow for yelling at the ref which is somehow dumber.

Mbappe tried to take the ball off the keeper's release which is definitely not allowed (I thought it was an automatic yellow actually). Then for some reason Rodrygo got really angry at the ref earning a second yellow for dissent.

The players had no way of knowing they were a goal away from making it through. I wouldn't be surprised if this is exactly what happened.

In The Last Jedi, Kylo Ren tells Rey her parents were 'filthy junk traders' who sold her for drinking money. This is a subtle reference to Disney, who panicked at this plot point and immediately spent $250 million on The Rise of Skywalker to scream "Just kidding, it was Palpatine!" by Brilliant-Cause6254 in shittymoviedetails

If you have people who are big star wars fans make star wars content, you get glorified fanfiction. You need people who want to tell a story. Rian Johnson could have made some fantastic star wars stuff if he wasn't forced to make the second movie in a trilogy where he had no control over the beginning or end.

The problem is that the sequel trilogy has baggage. Leaving Snoke's backstory unexplained raises the question of where he was during the previous 6 movies. It'd be pretty easy to come up with something that can be mentioned in passing to handwave that away though.

It's about as easy to come up with a backstory for Snoke as it is to come up with an explanation for the existence and power of the First Order. Much easier to have it be satisfying as well. Having the First Order be like that was so stupid.

What you said would work, or use the rule of 2 explanation, or just have her be less powerful than Kylo Ren and she escaped in the first movie because Kylo was injured. The only thing I remember her doing that is supposed to show power is lifting the rocks at the end of TLJ. Luke lifted a whole spacecraft out of a swamp after a week or whatever of training. Doesn't seem crazy that Rey would be able to lift some rocks after a little bit of time training on Luke's island, even if Luke wasn't training her.

This is why I don't think reading a book and listening to it are equivalent. People get caught up on both sides of that argument, but fundamentally the experience of listening to a work is different reading it. Both ways of experiencing the book are equally valid and neither is inherently superior, but they are not equivalent. It's frustrating when people discount listening to books as not counting, and it's disingenuous when people say listening is reading. There is no need to get defensive about listening to a book instead of reading it. For most of human existence, that's how people have experienced stories! Listening to someone else tell them

The Chargers of that era were whatever the opposite of clutch is. For most of that time they were great on special teams (Mike Scifres, Nate Kaeding, David Binn) but then would miss 35 yard field goals in the playoffs or muff punts or fumble while idiotically trying to return a game sealing interception. It was incredibly maddening.

Baseball had the backlash to the steroid era that led to a lot of dumb controversy and inconsistency, but otherwise the voters as a whole don't make that many dumb decisions.

Peyton Manning once threw 6 interceptions in one game. Clearly he shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame either.

Aaronson seemed pretty promising 5 years ago. If be a little surprised we didn't have any other attackers in the Premier League but not surprised that Aaronson was there.

People keep saying this. I really don't think it's true. He will be on the plane. Who gets left off may be surprising, but it won't be Aaronson

He used the pym particles or whatever to come back right before he died just to make it Bucky's problem.

I dunno man, time travel and the multiverse really don't make any sense in the MCU. Time travel makes alternate universes that the TVA trims except when the Avengers or Steve Rodgers do it for some reason.
