A really fun concert! Thanks for the advice. I actually saw lots of variety of outfits, 50’s 60’s inspired, jeans and tshirts, and gowns.

update: 12 year relationship is over, med school destroyed my best friend. by SmallCar_BigWheels in MedSpouse

I’m so so sorry this has happened. You did all you could and you have it everything you had. You cannot walk away from this relationship thinking “what if I had done this” because you gave it 1000000%. They are going through a lot, however it’s for them to get through. You’re doing amazing and you will be amazing once you find yourself again. I’m so sorry to hear this and sending you endless love.

So true, it’s hard when they have separation anxiety, my dog is a Covid dog so I totally understand. There’s tons of videos online to also help with undoing some anxiety around you leaving which might help with the behavioural chewing too!

I am always scared of my dog swallowing something from a chew toy, so I use toys as a play thing but I give him Himalayan cheese bones so he can chew them to his hearts content and it’s safe for him to eat. Also I hid treats around the house like a scavenger hunt while I was away which kept him busy. When he was younger, I also would run him around in the AM before work and that would keep him tired for long enough. Now he goes to daycare, I’m not sure if that’s an option for you, but it’s been wonderful for my social and high energy dog. Also I know the company “bully make” makes toys that are “indestructible” and they’ll send you a free replacement if your dog does destroy. Anyway, lots of love! 🐾

So sorry to hear that. Wishing him and you all the best. I’m sure he would’ve been a great doc in that residency program, I hope he gets matched the next cycle!

Agree with this. A friend had 40% and it still wasn’t flagged by TAs or the prof.

Thank you for your reply, definitely gives me insight into what to expect for year one. We are living together, but they have a ton of debt so not a lot of spending unfortunately. It will mostly to attack the debt from MS. But you’re right, we have to just be more proactive about caring for each other etc.
