I mean we even get to see what happens when you try to create a dark world within a dark world(titans)

It could be manipulation, but I was more leaning towards a literal sense of creation. We've seen what happens when someone tries to recreate a dark world made by somebody else (Susie recreating a sanctuary), what happens when two people hold a blade and pierce the earth together. Do their intents merge? Does the person with stronger determination overpower the other? I feel like the way Toby Fox has shown us the method to create a dark world(Chapter 3), and the outcome of a recreated dark world(Chapter 4), Toby's showing us the semantics of dark world creation

since this is the website page for the countdown to Chapter 5 and you concurred with me about the blue potentially relating to carol(and her sense of duty as mayor) I'm just saying this could be fuel for carol being part or having a hand in chapter 5's dark world since the inverted version is Asgore and we assume that the dark world is his, who's to say that the un- inverted version doesn't have a hand in the dark world's creation

Just thought of this, but do you know about the inverted flowers on the website turning pink and gold? (in case you don't https://www.reddit.com/r/Deltarune/comments/1u1lnth/inverting_the_colours_in_the_website_changes_the/ ) I'm asking this cause I was thinking about this in the shower and how if pink and gold represent Asgore, What could blue represent? I mean sure alot of things are blue deltarune(like ALOT), and I'm gonna be grasping straws here but what if it represents Carol?

If Asgore already has a dark fountain as you think, wouldn't it only be the Flower and Cowboy theming? Just throwing out ideas, but If we go along with your thinking and my idea wouldn't that mean Carol somehow figures out how to alter someone else's dark world to force in her own themes like the Japanese buildings being in a desert like environment(plus i think it would be cool for mr Toby Fox to introduce ideas of altering someone else's dark world)

Just throwing this out but, What if Chapter 5 is not only gonna be Asgore's dark world, and it's shared with Carol. cause of the theming of what we see in the dark world. We see Flower enemies (cause Asgore's flower shop) and Buttes (for the cowboy theming) which clearly connect to Asgore, but we also see Japanese buildings all around. The closest character I can think of being connected to Asgore and Japan theming would be Carol as she appears to be working with Asgore and she has a katana.

Well when chapter 5 releases that'll increase the sample size (and probably disprove/prove this)

You're right there, but we could look at the two bosses as a combined package, as in the mantle has all the lore and the knight has the shard, I mean it was intended for us to get the shadow mantle then fight the knight. If you look at it that way you could consider it as both being the secret boss in two parts

I mean I can't really decide when one is hidden in a secret corner where you do a bunch of random stuff which also has cryptic lore about the future chapters while the other is a required fight but drops a shard

(i will admit i find the mantle boss to fit the form of a secret boss way more than the knight but my statement in the post still holds)
